Indemnity Risk Solutions (IRS) is a Managing General Agency, underwriting Professional
Indemnity and Directors and Officers risks. Below are the products we offer.
PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY 6 YEAR BLOCK RUN OFF COVER
We have a unique offering to the insurance market for professionals that have retired, sold or merged their business, whereby they can purchase a run off policy for any period from 1 to 6 years under a single policy. Security is provided by an Insurer rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best and A+ (Outlook Stable) by Standard and Poor’s. The advantage to insurance brokers is that you reap six years commission up front and the advantages to the insured are they can buy a policy for the period required without having to go through the renewal process annually. It’s quick, it’s convenient and it provides peace of mind and best of all as there is no renewal process there is no rise in premium or additional premium to pay in the event of a claim in the lifetime of the policy. This offering is for small clean firms and provides limits of indemnity from £100,000 to £1,500,000. Professions* covered are Accountants, Architects, Engineers, Design & Contract, Insurance Brokers (Personal Lines only), Management Consultants, Surveyors (ex s&v) Plus an extensive range of Miscellaneous professions.
PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY
For those firms continuing to trade we can underwrite Primary indemnity cover up to £2M limit of indemnity (Up to £10M on selected risks) on the following Professions*:
Accountants, Architects, Bailiffs, Private Investigators, Employment Agents, Engineers, Design & Contract, Insurance Brokers (ex Fin Svs), IT Consultants, Surveyors & Estate Agents (ex s&v), Management Consultants, Media & many Miscellaneous professions.
DIRECTORS & OFFICERS
We provide Worldwide cover for companies whose principal/registered office is located in
any member state of the European Union or Australia for indemnity limits of GBP
£10,000,000 (UK) €10,000,000 (EU) A$20,000,000 (Australia). For firms domiciled
elsewhere we can consider currencies at equivalent of GBP £10m. Our preferred business is
for Private Companies, Charities/Not for Profit Organisations, AIM traded companies, LSE
listed companies below FTSE250 level and Excess layers for FTSE100 & FTSE250
companies. Additionally we can provide Management Liability including Corporate Liability
and Employment Practices Liability for private companies, Pension Fund Trustee Liability for
UK based schemes and Not for Profit/Charity Trustee Liability.
SOLICITORS PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY
The IRS name is synonymous with Solicitors PI. We specialise in firms from sole practitioners up to 20 partners including new start up firms with a particular focus on 1-10 partners. Our policy wording complies with Minimum Terms as set by Solicitors Regulation Authority.
SOLICITORS DIRECTORS & OFFICERS
To complement our solicitors PI offering we can provide cover for solicitors D&O. Entity cover is included plus EPL if required. Cover provides for COLP and COFA investigations. It is not necessary for the firm’s PI to be currently insured with IRS, nor do we need a proposal form. All quotations are on a Statement of Fact basis. All our policies are underwritten on behalf of A rated (Standard & Poor’s/A M Best or both) insurers. Commissions range form 15% to 25%.
