Australian Maritime College

The Australian Maritime College (AMC), a specialist institute of the University of Tasmania (UTAS) offers scholarships ranging in value up to and above $8,000 Merit scholarships include: Outstanding and Excellent Achiever Scholarships

Valued over $10,000, the AMC Outstanding Achiever Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 96+, qualify for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level degree program offered by the National Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (NCMEH) or the National Centre for Ports & Shipping (NCPS) - maritime and logistics management or maritime engineering. Valued over $8,000 the AMC Excellent Achiever Scholarships are awarded annually to students who have achieved Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) between 90 - 95, who qualify for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level degree program offered by the National Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (NCMEH) or the National Centre for Ports & Shipping (NCPS) - maritime and logistics management or maritime engineering. Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship

To increase female participation in maritime engineering programs, AMC is offering scholarships to young women. The scholarship will cover 75% of the first year of the on-campus accommodation costs in a single room at one of the Halls of Residence in Launceston. On offer to all female CSP students applying for maritime engineering programs with specialisations in naval architecture, ocean engineering or marine and offshore engineering, who attain an ATAR of between 70.00 and 89.00, and meet pre-requisite entry requirements. Applications for most awards commencing in Semester 1 open at the beginning of August and close strictly on 31 October in the year prior. These scholarships are available to recent school leavers who achieved excellent results in their Year 12 qualification. A minimum ATAR of 99.75 – 99.85 is required to be considered. No application is required. All eligible CSP applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU and list the ANU course as a first, second or third preference will be automatically considered. Scholarship valued at $6,500 per year, for a maximum of five years. ANU Excellence Scholarships for International Students

Valued at $5000 in the first year followed by 10% discount of tuition fees for years of study thereafter. For international students who have achieved at an excellent level in their final years of schooling, demonstrated by excellent results in their secondary studies qualification. ANU College of Business & Economics International Undergraduate Scholarship

The Scholarships will cover the full (100%) international student tuition fee cost each year, for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholars’ chosen undergraduate program, excluding an Honours Year. The scholarship is available to students completing a single or combined degree. ANU Foundation for Visual Arts Scholarship

Open to CSP and international students who are successful in obtaining entry to an undergraduate degree program offered by the School of Art in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences and be deemed to be an outstanding applicant in any area of expertise of the School by the Selection Committee. No application is necessary as all new undergraduate students will be automatically considered. Valued at $5,000. ANU Dennis Griffin National Piano Undergraduate Scholarships

Applicants must have received an offer by the School of Music in the piano and composition area of the School. No application required as all new undergraduate students – CSP and international – will be automatically considered. Students must demonstrate outstanding musical ability and accomplishment, which will be assessed at audition Scholarship valued at $5,000 per annum over three years. ANU College of Business & Economics Undergraduate Merit Awards

Awarded to both CSP and international students with a minimum ATAR of 95.00 and who have made an application through UAC for one of the qualifying business courses to ANU. All eligible students will be automatically considered, and no application is required. Scholarship valued at $5,000 – a once-off payment. Coral Bell Scholarship

The Coral Bell Scholarship is awarded for full-time study in the Bachelor of International Security Studies Program. The scholarship aims to honour the legacy of Coral Bell by providing the means for a high achieving student to study in the Bell School's Bachelor of International Security Studies (BINSS) degree. The scholarship will cover the tuition fees for the Bachelor of International Security Studies degree and provide a $5000 stipend per

Bond University

Bond University offers an extensive scholarship program, with values ranging from 25% scholarships to 100% scholarships. The scholarships listed below are open to both local and international students. Some of the scholarships on offer include: Vice-Chancellor’s Elite Scholarships

This 100% scholarship is available to all Year 12 students with an anticipated ATAR above 95.00; with demonstrated strong leadership skills, and extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. Open to all undergraduate degrees excluding the Bond Medical Program. The Padma and Hari Harilela Scholarships

Awarded to outstanding students from around the globe, looking to study at either undergraduate or postgraduate level. These scholarships open the door to applicants with strong achievements in both community involvement and contribution, and academia. Applicants must meet the prerequisites and the admissions entry standard for their chosen degree. Submission of a 500-word personal statement outlining the applicant's community involvement and contribution, as well as personal attributes and academic achievements. Awardees received a total of $10,000 (domestic students) and $15,000 (international students). Open to all undergraduate degrees excluding the Bond Medical Program. Excellence Scholarships

Awarded to Year 12 students with an anticipated ATAR of over 91.00, demonstrating exceptional potential, strong leadership skills and extensive involvement in extra-curricular activities. The value of the scholarships is 50% of tuition fees for any single or combined degree (Bond Medical Program).

John Eales Rugby Excellence Awarded to a Year 12 student Australian student eligible to represent Australian Rugby, meets the academic requirements for the course selected, has experience playing rugby at a high level, and can demonstrate strong leadership skills and community involvement. The scholarship covers 100% tuition fees any single diploma program, single undergraduate degree, single postgraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program), a $10,000 bursary in each year of study, as well as one-on-one mentoring sessions with John Eales. Indigenous Scholarships

These scholarships, valued up to 50% of tuition fees for any single undergraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program) or 100% tuition for any diploma program, are awarded to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who have demonstrated extracurricular involvement, leadership potential and academic achievements. Georgina Hope Rinehart Swimming Excellence Scholarship

The Georgina Hope Rinehart Excellence Scholarship is targeted at high performance swimming scholars offering a 100% scholarship plus $21,000 living expenses for students to compete at an elite level while gaining an education at Bond University. This scholarship is open to students who are eligible to compete for Australia; are swimming at a very high level for their school or club; have a high academic record, and who possess leadership qualities. Available to all Australian students applying for a single undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or diploma at Bond University (excluding the Bond Medical Program). ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship

The ADCO Sports Excellence Scholarship celebrates this by awarding sporting scholarships to outstanding sports men and women from around Australia with the chance to help fund their tertiary studies. Valued at 50% of the cost of any single undergraduate degree or single postgraduate degree (excludes the Bond Medical Program, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Master of Psychology; Clinical and Forensic and Master of Creative Arts), as well as a $10,000 cash bursary will be awarded per year of study for a maximum of 2 years. Bradman Scholarship

The scheme offers an allowance of $5,000 per year over three years to assist with accommodation and academic expenses for a CSP student to attend an Australian University for the term of the Scholarship, a maximum of three years. A Bradman Scholar is an achiever who possesses a blend of academic, sporting, personal and social skills, together with a strong talent on the cricket field. Furthermore, and most importantly, the Foundation believes that each Scholar should aim to pursue Sir Donald's ideals at all times. Part of the selection criteria is that a student must have participated in the sport of cricket, e.g. club player or coach. Applications close 28 February 2019. Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarship Valued at $50,000 over three years, the C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship commemorates the achievements of one of Australia's most respected pastoral pioneers who served with distinction in the First World War and went on to become a distinguished scholar and leading figure in the Federal Parliament prior to his tragic, and untimely death in an aircraft accident in 1938. Since 1991 the Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Memorial Scholarship Trust Fund has awarded nearly four million dollars to 90 young Australians. The scholarships have been awarded almost equally to male and female applicants. Scholarship holders have come from every sector of Australian society and graduated from government, catholic and private schools. They have studied law, politics, economics, medicine, and arts. Hawker Scholars are now working in Australia, Europe, the USA, and Asia.

Charlie Bell Scholarships Scholarships honouring Charlie Bell, the former McDonald's Corporation CEO.

RMHC Charlie Bell Scholarship The RMHC Charlie Bell Scholarship Program provides financial assistance towards vocational or tertiary studies for students who have experienced serious illness. Children aged 15-20 years who have been treated at Monash Children's Hospital are eligible to apply for a one-off grant of $5,000 to undertake a course of instruction in accredited undergraduate institutions to make a huge difference in their life. Awarded to a CSP student applying for any course at the Bathurst campus and who attained an ATAR of 85.00 or above. The scholarship is valued at $18,000, to be paid in $3,000 instalments twice per year pending GPA of 5.0 or above is achieved and enrolment is ongoing. Applicants are required to submit a minimum 250-word essay on "Who is Ron Camplin?", and provide evidence of sound academic achievement, community/regional involvement, and career goals and aspirations. Academically gifted CSP students who display John Curtin's qualities of vision, leadership and community service are eligible to be considered for this scholarship. This is Curtin University's most generous and prestigious future student scholarship, and students selected as John Curtin Undergraduate Scholars have excelled in a wide range of endeavours and have lent their talents and energies to the community around them. This scholarship is awarded by the Vice-Chancellor to Australian undergraduate students whose exceptional academic achievements, proven experience and leadership has truly set them apart. CSP students who either attain an ATAR of 95.00 OR are the dux of their school, are eligible. The scholarship includes:

The Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) gives financial assistance to numerous students under a range of scholarship schemes. Swinburne University of Technology

Various scholarships are on offer ranging in value from $500 to several thousand dollars. Merit scholarships on the list include: Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Program

CSP and international students receive $5,000 per annum for the normal duration of their chosen course, includes membership into the High Achievers Program, plus they may receive a one-off payment of $2,000 towards an international study experience. These scholarships are offered in any Swinburne Degree. To be eligible students must lodge a VTAC application and should anticipate attaining an ATAR of at least 95.00 and meet the prerequisites of their chosen degree. There is no need to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship. Swinburne’s pathways programs are designed to prepare you for study in Australia and direct entry to a range of undergraduate degrees. High-achieving international students who plan to study a pathway and bachelor program at Swinburne in 2019 may be eligible for this scholarship. These scholarships are awarded on academic merit. Scholarships are valued up to $5,000. Students will automatically be assessed for a scholarship when applying for an eligible package at Swinburne. There is no need for a separate application. Note that the number of scholarships available is limited. Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems - Industry Scholarships

Program This prestigious program aims to maximise student employability potential and provide future leaders in Australia’s Business sector. CSP students complete a four-year degree in just three-years; receive an industry-funded scholarship totalling approximately $40K paid in fortnightly instalments over the three-year course and undertake two twenty-week work placements. Bachelor of Information Technology Industry Scholarship Program The scholarship is on offer to CSP applicants applying for the Bachelor of Information Technology. Successful students will receive an industry-funded tax-free scholarship of approximately $40,000 over three years, and 40 weeks work experience in the ICT industry. Students need to apply to VTAC and all shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a briefing session and an interview. A comprehensive range of scholarships are available, ranging in value up to $10,000 per year. The University of Adelaide offers a range of scholarships, funded by the University and by external organisations, for both commencing and continuing undergraduate students from wide-ranging backgrounds. Examples of some of the merit scholarships are: Andy Thomas Scholarship

For a student with an outstanding ATAR and applying for a CSP place in a Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering; covers the full cost of tuition fees plus $6,000 per year allowance over four years. Scholarship selection will also have regard to the student’s contribution to their school and to the wider community. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through SATAC to the University of Adelaide will be automatically considered. The university will contact the eligible students and invite them to apply, and short-listed candidates may be required to attend an interview. Marta Sved Scholarship in Mathematics

A once-off payment of $5,000 will be awarded to three female CSP students who commence a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences or Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences (Advanced). The recipients will also receive access to a personal mathematics mentor for the duration of their study program. Selection will be made according to academic merit in mathematics with consideration given to a reference made by the applicant's teacher and the applicants' statement regarding why they wish to study their chosen degree. The ATAR will also be considered. Applications close on 15 August 2018. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to the University of Adelaide for a short interview, to see the campus and facilities, and to meet some of the academic staff and students in the School of Mathematical Sciences in September 2018. 2. Science Achiever Award has been established to encourage academically gifted students interested in Science to pursue tertiary study in the faculty. A one-off payment valued at $6,000 will be awarded to eligible CSP students who apply for any science degree and attain an ATAR of 99.85.

No separate application need be made, and ligible candidates will be identified through their UAC application. These scholarships cannot be held concurrently with the Scientia Scholarship.

Scientia Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to all CSP and international students who achieve an ATAR of 99.90 or above and apply to undertake full-time study at UNSW. Students receive $10,000 (tax exempt) for the duration of the course. In addition to the annual stipend of $10,000, Scientia Scholars receive other benefits including:

• Academic Mentors are appointed to each Scientia scholar to provide advice and to support their academic progress.

• Invitations to a range of special events such as Scientia Scholars welcome, Distinguished Speakers Series, Mentor Briefing Session, research seminars.

• Some Scientia Scholars are invited to be Student Ambassadors, who represent their Faculty at various events including Open Day, Information Day, School Visits and Parent and Student Evenings.

Selection is based on academic excellence at Year 12 level; demonstrated initiative in personal and professional life and motivation to succeed in the UTS Bachelor of Business degree. To attract top achieving high school students to the UTS Law undergraduate degrees and support them financially during their first year of study. This scholarship, which offers a once-off amount of $10,000, is awarded to CSP students who attain an ATAR of 98.00 and above, and who can demonstrate a motivation to succeed in the chosen Faculty of Law course and demonstrate initiative in personal and professional life as demonstrated in the online scholarship application. Science Dean's Scholarship

CSP students attaining an ATAR of 99.00 and above are eligible to apply for this scholarship valued at $10,000. The students must apply for a science degree offered by the Faculty of Science through UAC as well as make an online application for the scholarship. Applicants will need to demonstrate their motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program and demonstrate initiative in personal life. Science High Achievers Scholarship

CSP students attaining an ATAR of 95.00 and above and applying for a science program at UTS are eligible to apply for this scholarship, valued at $2,000 per year over three years. Valued at $20,000 and paid over two years, the Engineering and Information Technology Dean's Scholarship is an academic merit. Any prospective CSP students who attain a top ATAR (95.00 and above) and have applied to undertake any UTS Engineering and Information Technology undergraduate degree will be eligible for this scholarship. Applicants will need to demonstrate their motivation to succeed in the chosen degree program and demonstrate initiative in personal life when completing the online application. Bachelor of Accounting Scholarship

The Bachelor of Accounting is a co-operative education program, being a three-way partnership between the sponsor organisations, UTS and the students. Co-operative programs are awarded to CSP students with a good academic record (ATAR 95.00 but not essential), demonstrated leadership potential, and a genuine interest in accounting. Applicants will also have to demonstrate personal attributes needed to succeed both as a student and in a business career - communication skills, inter-personal skills, team-working skills, problem-solving skills, enthusiasm, and dedication. Bachelor of Accounting co-operative program receive a generous income tax-exempt scholarship per year for 3 years, valued at over $51,500. In addition, all students who are recruited by a sponsor organisation in their final year of study will receive a Recruitment Incentive bonus for the second half of the year.
