Totalization for Analog and Multistate Points

Totalization for Analog and Multistate Points The Point Commander and Point Editor now support totalization for analog and multistate points. The following point types may now be totalized:

● LAO

● LAI

● LDO

● LDI

● L2SL

● L2SP

● LOOAL

● LOOAP

● LFSSL

● LFSSP

The totalization function accumulates the runtime value of a point. Examples for using this feature include:

● Accumulating runtime for fans and pumps.

● Accumulating total volume from a flow rate sensor.

● Calculating degree days.

NOTE: Using the PPCL TOTAL function to access the totalized value of a BACnet Multistate Output point is currently not supported.

Totalized Point Report

The BACnet Field Panel Web Server (FPWeb) now offers a Totalized Point report,

which displays the panel name, point name, totalized value, reset date and time, and

reset value. To open the report, click the Totalized Point Report icon under the

Reporting bar.

Trends The Trend Editor has been enhanced to support additional trend interval rates for time-based trends. The trend interval options for time-based trends are now hours, minutes, and seconds.

Deleting Multiple Points or PPCL Programs ● The BACnet Field Panel Web Client Point Editor now allows you to delete multiple

points.

● The BACnet Field Panel Web Client PPCL Editor now allows you to delete multiple PPCL programs without having to open them one-by-one.

FLN Network Types MS/TP Routed and Ethernet/IP FLNs are now supported for BACnet devices.

● BACnet MS/TP routed FLN is supported for Programmable TECs (PTECs), Unitary Equipment Controllers (UECs), and third-party BACnet devices.

– FIN Builder supports MS/TP routed FLNs and IP FLNs.

– PPCL and Point Editing are currently not available on routed FLNs.

● The Ethernet/IP FLN is used with the new DXR-E FLN device.

● Auto-discovery is supported for all BACnet FLN network types.

An Integration FLN is now available. For Integration Drivers that support FPWeb, Integration FLNs can be viewed and modified from the FPWeb UI and in Kiosk mode.

The following products support the MS/TP Routed, Ethernet/IP, and Integration FLNs:

● Application Monitoring and Control System Tool (AppMC)

Integration Driver Support on Field Panel Web UI

● Launch Pad

When a new FLN device is created, the field panel is queried to determine which FLN device types it supports. The Web Client displays the appropriate FLN Device Editor window.

With Firmware Revision 3.4 and later, each controller can support one of the following FLN network types:

● A combination of BACnet MS/TP, routed MS/TP, secondary MS/TP, or Ethernet/IP used simultaneously.

● Integration

Two MS/TP FLN Connections Supported For improved cost-effectiveness and flexibility of BACnet MS/TP FLN installations, two physical MS/TP FLN connections are supported on PXC Modular and PXC-36 field panels

● For PXC Modular, the PXX-485.3 FLN 1 port is the primary FLN port, and the RS-485 ALN is the secondary FLN port.

● For PXC-36, the A port is the primary FLN port, and the B port is the secondary FLN port.

To use the secondary FLN port, the primary FLN must be configured as MS/TP and the MS/TP ALN must be enabled.

New FLN Device Support Firmware Revision 3.4 allows users to view and command points in DXR controllers. Supervision and support of DXR controllers is supported on both MS/TP and IP networks.

Integration Driver Support on Field Panel Web UI Integration Drivers running Firmware Revision 3.4 are now fully integrated into the FPWeb editors. Support for the following is included with Firmware Revision 3.4:

● BACnet Driver

● Johnson Controls N2 Master Driver

● Modbus or Modbus 250/500/1000 Drivers

Slope/Intercept Calculator The Point Editor now includes a Slope/Intercept Calculator which allows you to enter or calculate scaling factors (slope and intercept) to achieve accurate results.

Greenleaf Component A graphic component called Greenleaf is now available for FINlite (in the components list) and FIN Builder (as a FIN Builder Model). This component allows you to display the current value of the DXR application Greenleaf energy efficiency indicator in your FINlite or FIN Builder graphic.

Enhancements to Application MC ● Additional TEC applications in the 66xx range are now available for use in

Application MC.

● You can now select which applications to deploy with Application MC.

● MS/TP routed and Ethernet/IP FLNs are now supported for BACnet devices.

● The new BACnet FLN network types—MS/TP routed and BACnet IP—as well as the use of the secondary FLN port are supported.

● The mapping file provided with the Launch Pad deployment can be used to create custom applications in graphics.

Field Panel Editor Enhancements ● Field panels with Firmware Revision 3.4 no longer require a coldstart when the

following settings are changed:

– Site Name

– Device Location

– Device Description

– Telnet Enabled/disabled

– Auto Backup to Flash Enabled/disabled

– Auto Restore from Flash Enabled/disabled

– MS/TP Max Master

– Baud rates

● BACnet Field Panel Web Server (FPWeb) editors for Desigo™ CC have been improved.

APOGEE Editors were first introduced with Firmware Revision 3.2.4 and Desigo™ CC Version 1.0.0.17. With Firmware Revision 3.4, the code base that is used for FPWeb is also used for Desigo CC (the same file is deployed from Launch Pad).

For specific information on FPWeb compatibility with Desigo™ CC, see the BACnet Firmware Compatibility with Desigo CC™ Software [➙ 11] topic in this document.

– Desigo CC now uses the most current FPWeb UI.

– Desigo CC users are now able to edit UEC and PTEC devices.

– Desigo CC supports both FPWeb UI and APOGEE Editors for editing APOGEE objects in APOGEE field panels.

APOGEE Editors are special FPWeb UI pages that are used with Desigo CC Versions 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 for viewing and editing points, PPCL, field panels, and TEC subpoints.

Section 2 - Fixed Issues Solutions to the following issues have been implemented in APOGEE Firmware Revision 3.4 and the related APOGEE user interface:

● PPCL now correctly sets the value of a LOCAL or virtual LAO point equal to a LENUM point instead of subtracting 1 from the value.

● Field panels on a BACnet network no longer fail when they are connected to third-party MS/TP devices that broadcast confirmed requests.

● BBMD fix for broadcast storms: If a field panel that is configured as a BBMD receives a broadcast message from another BBMD, and both BBMDs are on the same subnet, the field panel that received the broadcast message will no longer rebroadcast the message, thus preventing a broadcast storm.

NOTE: This is part of the BACnet specification; however, some third-party vendors may not have implemented this yet.

● Copy paste functions are fully functioning in the PPCL editor.

● An intermittent issue was found in Firmware 3.3.1 that affected the accuracy of TX-I/O digital inputs after a warmstart. This issue has been fixed.

● Multi-state input objects are now supported for MS/TP FLN device integration.

● BACnet value types (AV, BV, MSV) that do not have a priority array are now supported.

● PXC-36 no longer coldstarts when onboard points enter a timeout period due to high COV activity.

User Interface and Firmware Compatibility This section outlines which user interface revisions are compatible with certain firmware revisions.

For proper functionality and access of the new features, you must upgrade the user interface (UI) at the field panel as well as upgrade the firmware. The UI upgrade is free and provides you with the latest defect resolutions.

Commissioning Tool—68302 Processor Field Panels This section outlines which APOGEE firmware revisions are compatible with Insight software and Commissioning Tool (CT) (online mode), and the field panels that support those revisions.

NOTE: The XML file or registry update provides the capability for some earlier revisions of Insight software or online Commissioning Tool to communicate with the field panel and to back up and restore the database. The XML file or registry update does not provide the new features or icons of the latest Insight software or online Commissioning Tool revision.

NOTE: The Firmware.rev.xml update released with the current firmware revision includes all previous XML updates.

The Firmware.rev.xml and INS_3p3C.reg updates released with Firmware Revision 2.8 include all previous XML/registry updates.
