Cast a concrete plinth.

Mark the anchor points for the base. Use a hammer drill to drill holes.

Concrete plinth

The height of the concrete plinth must meet the heat-dissipation and waterproofing requirements of the cabinet.The concrete plinth must be 200 mm higher than the ground, and the horizontal error must be within 5 mmwhen the plinth is cast.

Do not use the hammer drill to drillholes on the concrete plinth through the holes on the base.

In this way, the paint on the base may be damaged.

Remove the front cover plate.

Check the base level.

Tighten the bolts.

Install the bolt with the spring washerand flat washer.

Adjust the base level by adding adjusting pads to thebolts between the base and the concrete plinth.

Remove the baffle plates from bothsides of the base (by removing the plateon the left as an example).

Remove the baffle pieces from the backof the base.

All the three cable holes on the base can be used for cabling.You can use the cable holes based on actual requirements.

Do not damage plastic screws. Reserve them for later use.

In this chapter, the color or the appearance of the equipment are for reference onlyThe actual equipment may differ from

what is shown in the figures.

The bending radius of the cable is not less than five times of the diameter of the cable.5

The cables of different types must be routed in parallel or separated by special objects.4

Different types of cables must be separately routed and cannot be bound in the same bundle. Cables in

each bundle or any two bundles cannot be entangled.

The cables must be bundled tightly and neatly. The jackets of the cables are not damaged.2

Labels or nameplates must be attached to the cables after they are installed.3

If the length of the power cable is insufficient, replace the cable rather than adding connectors or soldering

joints to lengthen the cable.

Sealing the Cable Holes in the Cabinets

6 Sealing the Cable Holes

The cable module for the IBBS200D, IBBS200T, or APM30H is the same as that for the TMC11H.

When two IBBS200Ds or two IBBS200Ts are installed in stack mode, the installation of the cable module in the uppercabinet is not required.

Lead the cable through the cable hole with an aperture matching the cross-sectional area of the cable in order that the

sealing is effective.

2. Seal the cable holes with fi reproofclay.

1. Close the cable holes on bothsides and at the rear of the base.

3. Install the front panel on the front of the base.

Check whether the paint on the cabinet surface is damaged. If the paint is damaged, repair the damaged paint, readpage 34.

The PVC corrugated pipe is recommended for the cable led out of the cabinet.

The fireproof clay can be used to seal the cable holesof the base. It cannot be used to seal the cable holes

of the cabinet.

7 Installing the Batteries and their Cables

Battery MCB labeled BATEPS

Before installing the batteries, set the battery MCB labeled BAT to OFF to

disconnect the equipment from the battery. Finish the installation, set theBAT to ON.

During the installation of the batteries, use insulated tools such aswrenches and screwdrivers, and do not reversely connect the positive and

negative poles. Otherwise, the batteries may burn, and the operations may

cause human injuries.

8 Checklist for the Installation

All the bolts are tightened, especially for electrical connections. The flat washers and

spring washers are completely and properly installed.

All the labels are complete, correct, and legible.11

The space reserved for the user devices is covered by a filler panel.9

The cabinet is neat and clean.7

The cabinet door and the lock are functional. The gag lever post is tightened.10

The installation position of the cabinet strictly comply with the engineering design.1

When the cabinet is mounted on a wall, the holes of the mounting ears are aligned withthe bolt holes. The mounting ears are placed against the wall securely.2

When the cabinet is mounted on a metal pole, the pole fixtures are secure and reliable.3

When the APM30 is installed on the floor, the base is securely installed.4

The horizontal error of the cabinet is less than 3 mm and the vertical error is not greater

than 3 mm.5

The paint on the surface of the cabinet is satisfactory.8

The redundant part of the power cable or PGND cable is stripped off rather than coiled.3

All self-made PGND cables are copper-based and have proper wire diameters. No

breaking device such as the switch and fuse is allowed for the electrical connection of the

grounding system, and no short circuit is allowed.

According to wiring diagram of the power system, check whether the PGND cables are

securely connected, whether the AC lead-in cables and internal cables are properly

connected, and whether the screws are tightened. Ensure that no short circuit occurs in

output and input cables.

The lugs at both ends of the power cable or the PGND cable are securely soldered orcrimped.

There are no fingerprints or other smears on the surface of the cabinet.1

There are no unnecessary adhesive tapes or cable ties on the cables.2

There are no adhesive tapes, cable ties, wastepaper, or packing bags around the cabinet.3

All the stuff around the cabinet is neat, clean, and intact.4

The pressure relief valve of the battery is not transformed, and no liquid leaks.10

The fans work properly.

The fan in the IBBS200D rotates in a low speed in a normal situation.

The outer air circulation fan in the IBBS200T stops in a normal situation (with the ambient

temperature of lower than 30C), and the inner air circulation fan rotates in a high speed.

The outer air circulation fan in the APM30H stops in a normal situation (with the ambienttemperature of lower than 35C), and the inner air circulation fan rotates in a low speed.

The power cables for the batteries are connected to the positive and negative polarities

correctly.

The exposed wires at the wiring terminals and the lug handles are insulated by theinsulating tape or heat-shrinkable tube.

The flat washers and spring washers are well mounted to all wiring terminals.6

The exterior of the battery is intact without any scratch, dent, or crack.7

The shell of the battery is clean without any leakage trace.8

The wiring post on the battery stands properly without any damage, and the post is not

covered with any acid substances.

The voltage of the battery is normal.

The voltage of a 2 V battery cell ranges from 1.8 V to 2.35 V.

The voltage of a 12 V battery cell ranges from 10.8 V to 14.1 V.

The total voltage of the batteries ranges from 43.2 V to 56.4 V.

The idle port that no cable is connected to is properly protected.7

The cables are distributed in a way to facilitate maintenance and capacity expansion.4

Both ends of each cable are legible. That is, both ends of the cable are labeled.5

According to the APM30H capacity, ensure that all the MCBs are in normal status and the

MCBs for the batteries are set to ON. When the mains works without voltage or with undervoltage, the batteries can provide backup power for the APM30H.

The connectors of each cable are securely connected, especially those at the bottom of

the cabinet.

All cables are neatly bound with cable ties, and arranged at even intervals, to proper

tightness, and in the same direction.

The power cable and PGND cable are routed separately from other cables.3

Strip a part of the jacket off the cable so thatthe conductor with a length of L1 is exposed.

When stripping the jacket off the cable, do not damage the metal

Lead the cable through the heat-shrinkable tube, and then place thecontact terminal on the exposedconductor.

When placing the contact terminal on the conductor

closely to the end of the jacket, ensure that the L2part of the conductor which sticks out of the contactterminal should not exceed 2 mm.

Strip the jacket off the cable according tothe scale on the equipment.

Ensure that the edge of the wire is not split.

Use a screwdriver to push the sliding blockuntil the in-position mark is completelyexposed.

Insert the conductors into the holes. Thatis, insert the red cable connected to thepositive pole into hole 1 and blue cableconnected to the negative pole into hole 2.

The conductor should be in thecenter of the holes.

Push back the sliding blocks until they are

in position. Then, check whether theconductors are secure by gently pullingthe cables.

2. Operation of descript ion

The color of the surface of the repair area should be consistent with that of the surroundingarea, without obvious edges and bulge. Scratches and damages should be covered

properly. There should not be dropped paint.

Polishing

In case the damaged area is stained or there is rust on the materials, the following step

must be applied: Fine sand paper should be applied to polish the damaged area in order

to remove the stain or rust.

Cleaning

Clean cotton cloth can be used to rub the stain or dust on the surface of the area to be

polished or repaired.

Paint repair

Brushing paint of corresponding color should be applied according to the original coating.

Prior to the repair, the paint should be shaken well. After that, use the small brush insidethe bottle to absorb paint and evenly spread on the damaged area till the scratch/damage

is covered. Note that the paint coating applied should be as thin as possible. Paint coating

should not reveal any drops. The surface should be kept smooth.

Drying

The surface of the repair paint should be placed in indoor temperature for 30 minutes.

After that, subsequent operations can proceed.

e Covering the Equipment with Grease

1. Install the cable frame in the APM30H.

2. Before installing the rubber blocks for leading out the cables, cover thesurface and gaps of the blocks wi th grease evenly, and then insert the threeblocks into the cable frame.

3. Insert the rubber caps into the cablemodule after covering the caps with grease,and then cover the jackets of the cables withgrease before leading the cable through thecable module.

Grease When the APM30H is installed on a metalpole or on the wall, grease should also becovered around the four bolts which areused to attach the cabinet and trapezoidalrack.
