HB 318 Mizgorski, Lori (F) (R) (PN 275) Amends the Telemarketer Registration Act to include the definition of robocall as “a telephone solicitation call made to a large number of people, using a computerized autodialer, to deliver a prerecorded telemarketing message,” and to prohibit robocalls in the same manner as other telephone solicitation calls. Further, the legislation provides requirements on businesses which use robocalls and allows persons to opt-out of receiving future telephone solicitation calls from that telemarketing business. Effective in 60 days.
