(Pete) Lane, of Apex, was ordained into the Southern Baptist ministry on Sunday, August 18 at Apex Baptist Church. Dr. John Durham, professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, delivered the ordination sermon. Also participating in the service were Rev. Dale Martin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Reidsville and Rev. Phillip Qualls, pastor of Apex Baptist Church. Music ws performed by Darlene Martin, Jacky and Janice Davis, all of Reidsville, by the Apex Baptist Church choir and a special hand bell choir. James Herndon presented certificates of licensing and ordination. Winston Kerley, on behalf of the Kittrell Baptist Church presented Lane with a Bible. Following the service, the Apex Baptist Church honored Lane with a reception. Lane joined Apex Baptist Church as a child. He is a graduate of Apex High School and N. C. State University. He is currently in the second year of the Master of Divinity Program at Southeastern Baptist Theolo- gical Seminary. He is serving as pastor of Kittrell Baptist Church in Kittrell, N. C.

Paul Lane

Paul Andrew Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. (Pete) Lane, of Apex, was ordained into the Southern Baptist ministry on Sunday, August 18 at Apex Baptist Church.

Dr. John Durham, professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, delivered the ordina-tion sermon.

Graham church welcomes pastor

The congregation of the First Baptist Church in Graham wel-comed their new pastor, Dr. Paul Andrew ..Lane, in a Service of In-stallation Sunday.

Lane is a 1984 graduate of NC State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Phi-losophy. He then received his Master of Divinity from South-eastern Baptist Theological Semi-nary of Wake Forest. He completed his Doctor of Ministry at Drew University of Madison New Jersey.

Dr. Lane is married to Darlene Martin, originally from Reidsville. They have a daughter, Anna Kathryn, who was born March 26, 1992. They reside at 417 Wildwood Lane in Graham. DR. PAUL ANDREW lANE
