AP Human Geography Summer Assignment 2019-2020

AP Human Geography is not a traditional geography class. Instead of learning about the locations of physical and political features, this course focuses on the interactions between humans and their environment, between human populations.

AP Human Geography students are expected to enter class with a basic understanding of the physical and political geography of the world – the locations of the continents and oceans, the arrangement of regions, and the locations of certain countries found within each region.

You are tasked, as your summer assignment, with identifying the locations of certain physical and political arrangements in the world.

TASK 1: Identify and study the locations assigned to pass an assessment of these locations during the first week of class.

Assessment: Students will take an assessment the first week of school on each of the maps included in this document. Each student MUST attain at least the 75% minimum passing score. Students who score below a 75% will be required to retake the exam until the minimum standard is achieved.
