The College Board Advanced Placement Program (AP) offers college-level courses in a high school setting
The course earns students credit for high school and can earn them college credit

Students will engage in intense discussions, solve problems collaboratively, and learn to write clearly and persuasively
Students will be expected to take responsibility for their own education
Students will be expected to work on material for each AP course every day outside of class
These courses are intensive and require commitment on the part of the student
The work load will prepare students for even the most challenging university-level course
Designate specific areas for homework and studying
Remind your child to prioritize classes, activities, and work commitments
Recommend that your child form a study group
Review college acceptance requirements with your child
Discuss deadlines and keep a family calendar
