    MAINTENANCE

    A. TipMaintenance

1.TipTemperatureHigh temperature shortens tip life andmay cause thermalshock to components.Alwaysusethelowestpossibletemperaturewhensoldering.Theexcellentthermalrecovery characteristics of the 2901 station ensures effective soldering at lowtemperature.

2.CleaningAlways clean the soldering tip before use to remove any residual solder or fluxadhering toit. Useacleanandmoistcleaningsponge.Contaminantson thetiphavemanydetrimentaleffectsincludingreducedheatconductivitywhichcontributetopoorsolderingperformance.
