Established over 25 years ago the Battersea Building & Joinery Company Ltd is a family business that prides itself on its expert workmanship and its commitment to quality, value and customer satisfaction. The end of 2011 was a very difficult time for BBC Joinery. “We experienced one financial problem after another,” explains Director Thomas Peare. “One of our largest clients was unable to pay us and that had a huge impact on not only the business but on company and family morale as well. Being responsible for business development I knew we needed a solution that would help us get construction leads and onto new projects quickly. Having worked in IT earlier in my career I felt we should be looking for technology-driven support to give us this speed and reach. Then, as soon as we confirmed our full subscription, I went to Glenigan’s head office to meet with our account manager, Chloe Pidduck. Chloe helped customise the system to our requirements and extracted the data we needed to get started on an extensive marketing campaign. The support we got (and still do) from Chloe and the team was fantastic and over the next months they advised as we sent mailshots to main contractors in all sectors across the UK, staggering them so that we had time to respond properly to every response. Success was immediate and we started receiving expressions from across the country off the back of the very first shot.”

Just seven months on and BBC Joinery is going from strength to strength. “We’re doing very well,” says Peare. “We have new clients that include a well-known modular building company that came in through Glenigan and that is signing a second and larger contract with us now. We have expanded the company and our staff so that we now have a clear maintenance, construction, bespoke joinery (to back up our building works) and refurbishment divisions.
