Message from the President

I, take great pleasure in welcoming you all to our 16th Valentine’s Dinner Dance.

We are a successful association which has grown from strength to strength for

the last 24 years and will be celebrating our Silver Jubilee in June 2016.

The Association has always strived to raise funds for good causes for our Alma

Mater. We help some of the needy children by paying for their school fees and

other expenses towards their education, various projects highlighted by the

Principal of the school and also donate towards the annual Christmas Party for

the orphans of St Ann’s Hostel.

The success of today’s event is due to the contribution of all my committee

members, their spouses, past Presidents and our many friends. I thank them

all and also thank you all present here, our sponsors, donors, well-wishers,

management & staff of Holiday Inn and the band ‘Exceed’ who will be

entertaining with music tonight.

I sincerely hope you all have a great night. Enjoy!

Message from the Principal

It is with great pleasure that I send you my best wishes and greetings as you ‘trip away’ to the beat of the band at your Annual Dinner Dance 2016.

Our school has been built on a strong foundation. It has, and still continues to respect Good Shepherd values based on the teachings of our Mother Foundress St. Mary Euphrasia.

At Good Shepherd Convent Kotahena we value every student as ‘unique and special’ and strive to develop their full potential in a energizing and caring environment. This no doubt is quite challenging, yet with the blessings of the Almighty Father and respecting Christian values, I find that the pathway they trod within the four walls of our school, together with the guidance of the teachers, will help them to achieve the integral goals of education and become loyal citizens keeping the Shepherdian flag flying high.

I’m grateful for the support given by you in numerous ways, which has helped me to provide enhanced facilities for our students and uplift the standards of the school with the ultimate aim of making it a center of excellence. The Auditorium Project is my most recent endeavor in this direction as I see it an assert to display the innumerable talents of our children. I am proud of you as past pupils who have risen to great heights in numerous fields. The unity among the members and your love and generosity to your Alma Mater are great examples to our present flock as well as the future Shepherdians.

I wish you an enjoyable evening of togetherness where you could ‘dance and dance the night away.’

May I also wish you a Very Happy New Year and God’s showers of Blessings on

all your endeavors during 2016.
