Helen Vowls
Director, Leathwaite
Helen is a director within the global CIO
and COO practice leading the retail
f inancial services division. She
concentrates on appointing global,
regional and functional heads of
operations and technology spanning
AI/machine learning, blockchain, cloud,
data, engineering, information security
and procurement. Preceding this role,
she led the interim division for
Leathwaite, which had a significant focus
on operations and technology.
Helen joined Leathwaite in 2005. Prior to
this she worked for JM where she led the
investment banking division and was
responsible for growing the practice,
which was centred around technology
appointments. Before that, she spent five
years at McGregor Boyall , focusing on
recruiting technologists into banks.
Nathalie Oestmann

Nathalie Oestmann works at IDEMIA as
Senior Vice President of Global
Innovation Strategy, Marketing &
Partnerships/M&A for the Financial
Institutions Business Unit. Nathalie has
extensive international experience in
various senior management positions
working with financial services, retail
merchants and payment processors.
She was previously Head of Samsung Pay
Europe at Samsung Electronics, building
the organization and establishing
strategic partnerships across the
payment ecosystem to launch the
solution across 6 European countries.
She also worked 15 years at American
Express in a variety of roles. As VP and
Head of Global commercial payments,
she drove product development and
marketing for 3rd party bank partners,
building solutions and adapting systems
to better function across diverse
geographies.
Wendy Redshaw
Managing Director - CIO for
Collaborative Technology
Solutions, Deutsche Bank
Recently was CIO for Collaborative
Technology Solutions at Deutsche Bank.
There, Wendy ran a range of areas,
including AI and Robotics. She was a
member of the Supervisory Board of the
Russian Technology Centre, was the UK &
Ireland CIO Diversity Champion, and sat
on the Committee for the UK Gender Pay
Gap. Wendy has last week been
announced CIO of the Year at the Tech
Leaders Awards, and joins RBS as Head of
Digital Distribution in October.

Claire is Executive Vice President,
Enterprise Partnerships at Mastercard,
she is responsible for B2B Trade, which
includes Mastercard Track, a global Trade
platform designed to simplify how
companies around the world do business
with one another.
Claire has 20 years of f inancial services
experience working within Transaction
Banking across Europe and Asia. Prior to
joining Mastercard she was at Standard
Chartered Bank where she was a
Managing Director, as Global CFO for
Transaction Banking, moving to leading
Global teams across Implementation,
Service and Account Management within
this business. Claire also worked at RBS
& ABN AMRO, where she was Head of
GTS EMEA Network Sales, Business
Development and Strategy.
Claire’s passionate about building
diverse and inclusive teams, she believes
this is one of the key ingredients to
achieving business success.
