TERCER DOMINGO DE PASCUA/ THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER.
“On this rock, we will build Saint Joseph, our Faith and our Future” Building Campaign
Heating and Cooling Replacement Fund Heating and Cooling Replacement Fund:
Goal $100,000 This winter, we learned that our heating and cooling system for the Church, gym and the school is in a very bad condition since it is almost 100 years old. We have had to patch it more than a couple times already. We have again at this time problem with it. Every time that we have to fix it, the cost is around $10.000 dollars. We will have to replace it before summer. This project will cost us ap-proximately $90,000-$100,000. We are planning to begin the work by the end of May. It is why once again I am asking you to support this need for our current church and school. In May, there will be designated envelopes for this project entitled Heating and Cooling Re-placement Fund. There will also be opportunities to support this project on Give Central with the same title. We are blessed by generous parishioner that I am confident that we can achieve this goal be-fore the summer weather come and have our Heating and Cooling system replaced. Thank you so much for your generous help.

Meta $ 100,000 Este invierno, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestro sistema de calefacción y refrigeración para la Igle-sia, el gimnasio y la escuela está en muy malas condiciones ya que tiene casi 100 años. Hemos tenido que parchearlo más de un par de veces. Ahora tenemos de nuevo en este momento un problema con el sistema. Cada vez que tenemos que arreglarlo, el costo es de alrededor de $10,000 dólares. Por consiguiente, tendremos que reemplazarlo antes del verano. Este proyecto nos costará aproximadamente $ 90,000- $ 100,000. Estamos planeando comenzar el trabajo a fi-nes de mayo. For First Communion (Child must be at least seven years old)
♦ Copy of your child’s baptismal certificate and the registration fee: $130 per child, $180 for two siblings, $230 for three or more siblings.
♦ Children who attended classes last year need to get registered for their second year.
For Confirmation (must be between 13 & 17 years of age) ♦ you will need to bring copy of your son/daughter’s Baptism and First Communion certificates and the registration fee.$130 per student, $180 for two siblings, $230 for three or more siblings.

Ghosts do not eat; but Jesus asked for something to eat. Was he hungry? Probably not. It was a way of saying that he was alive, since only the living can eat. For the second time, he is recog-nized when he ate, because this is such a human act and a ges-ture that is so Jesus: taking the bread, giving thanks, blessing, breaking it… It is in the Eucharist where we come to know Jesus in every way. Until that moment, as it often happens to us, the disciples of Jesus did not understand or comprehend, and they could not be-lieve. Seeing Jesus eat opened their knowledge to comprehend; it is a moment of revelation that comes at a time in which Jesus becomes concrete, human, and recognizable for them. We often have the same problem. We are close-minded; we do not understand the truths of faith, maybe because we are thinking about something very sublime and abstract, which in any case we do not attain. Jesus makes himself present, however, in those who ask for something to eat, in those who allow us to touch their wounds, and in those who offer us hope. Jesus makes himself present in everything that is life in our surroundings; everything that is human with its joys and hopes. We see that Jesus is alive and we can believe. What we are seeing are not ghosts, but Christ himself who walks close to us, and is in the faces and lives of our brothers and sisters. To understand the Scripture, to open our mind is to under-stand a message that is quite hard, but filled with the hope of life: the Messiah had to suffer and resurrect from the dead. In life and in its strength, we know that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, has risen. This, which is the cause for great joy, is not a word that is simply celebrated and that’s it, because Jesus adds: you are wit-nesses to all this. To bear witness is a challenge. If we are wit-nesses, we must proclaim. No one becomes a witness, so as not to state or announce what was seen. To be witnesses forces us to be messengers of the Good News of hope for all.
FOR REFLECTION In what ways can I recognize today, the resurrected life of Jesus around me? What signs of life do I find near me? How do I an-nounce to others with my testimony and joy?
Los fantasmas no comen; pero Jesús pide algo de comer. ¿Tenía hambre acaso? Posiblemente no. Era una manera de decir que está vivo, ya que solo los vivos comen. Por segunda vez, lo reconocen al comer, porque es una acción tan humana y un gesto muy de Jesús: tomar el pan, dar gracias, bendecir, par-tirlo… Es en la Eucaristía donde conocemos completamente a Jesús. Hasta ese momento, como muchas veces nos ocurre a nosotros, los discípulos de Jesús no entendían, no comprendían y no podían creer. El ver a Jesús comer les abre la inteligencia para comprender; es un momento de revelación que llega en el momento en que Jesús se hace para ellos concreto, humano, reconocible. Muchas veces tenemos nosotros el mismo problema. No se nos abre la mente, no acabamos de entender las verda-des de la fe, quizá porque estemos pensando en algo muy subli-me y abstracto, que de todas formas no acabamos de alcanzar. Jesús se nos hace presente, sin embargo, en quienes piden algo de comer, en quienes nos dejan tocar sus llagas, en quienes nos ofrecen esperanza. Jesús se nos hace presente en todo lo que es vida a nuestro alrededor; todo lo que es humano en sus gozos y esperanza. Vemos que Jesús está vivo y podemos creer. No son fantasmas, lo que vemos, sino al mismo Cristo que camina cerca de nosotros, en los rostros y las vidas de nuestros hermanos. Entender la Escritura, dejar que se abra nuestra men-te es entender un mensaje bastante duro, pero también lleno de esperanza de vida: el Mesías tenía que padecer y resucitar de entre los muertos. En la vida y su fuerza, sabemos que el Mesías, Cristo Jesús, ha resucitado. Esto, que es causa de gran alegría, no es una palabra que solo se celebra y ya, porque Jesús añade: ustedes son testigos de todo esto. Ser testigos es un desafío. Si somos testigos, tene-mos que proclamar. Nadie es testigo para no pronunciar y anun-ciar lo que ha visto. Ser testigos nos obliga a ser mensajeros de la Buena Nueva de la esperanza para todos. PARA LA REFLEXIÓN ¿De qué manera puedo reconocer hoy la vida resucitada de Je-sús a mi alrededor? ¿Qué signos de vida encuentro cerca? ¿Cómo lo anuncio a otros con mi testimonio y alegría?

Este es un taller ba-sado en el Credo que todos profesamos en nuestra Iglesia Católica.

Hoy vivimos un tiempo donde no podemos llevar nuestra vida espiritual en segunda velocidad. Es hora de meter el acelerador espiritual y este Taller para nuestros parroquianos y servidores de la Pastoral de nuestra parroquia: "Cómo ser un cristiano con
coraje" te ayudará a lograrlo.
Si está interesado (a) puede tomar el taller Doctrinal sobre el Credo en nuestra Parroquia San Jose, el cual se estará impar-tiendo todos los jueves de 7:15pm a 8:15pm. El taller iniciara el 3 de Mayo y concluirá el jueves 28 de Junio. Puedes traer tu Biblia
y tu Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica como herramienta.
Nuestro objetivo es ayudar a nuestros feligreses de nuestra parroquia a conocer en que basamos nuestra fe y nos lleve a
profundizar en la riqueza de nuestra fe católica.
Los sacerdotes, hermanas religiosas, diacono e invitados se-
glares especiales estarán impartiendo este curso.
Te esperamos a vivir juntos esta nueva experiencia catequética.
PRAYER FOR CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES: Confirmation class, I’m proud of you. This church is proud of you. But my heart is more excited about the days ahead of you than it is for today. My expectations are higher for you, my hopes for you are more reaching, and my faith in God’s ability to complete a good work in you is absolute. So go, answer the call, be great and faithful disciples of the Lord in the world. Confirmation is a significant step in the faith formation of young Christian Catholic disciples. Please keep our confirmands, their sponsors and catechists in your prayers as they grow in Spirit and in truth now that they will receive this beautiful sacra-ment. Let’s pray: Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to Your voice. Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfilment the good work that You have begun in them. As we prepare these children for their coming Confirmation, make each of us an instrument of Your love. Teach us to appreciate what is holy in others, and to be patient with what we do not understand. Deep-en our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our exam-ple. We pray that You will continue to guide us and sustain us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen. Fr Jesus

Señor, aquí estamos, los dos frente a ti, como aquel día en que recibi-mos el sacramento del matrimonio. Como aquel día en que bendijiste nuestro amor. Pero ahora señor estamos derribados, secos, lejos de ti, sin el agua de tu amor. Y ya nuestro amor se ha secado, derrama tu Santo Espíritu sobre nosotros, para que nos limpie, nos lave, nos restau-re y nos renueve, para que ese amor que tu bendijiste brote nuevamen-te. Señor corta y libera toda atadura de ambos al pecado, aleja todo espíritu de infidelidad, paséate por nuestra familia, por nuestro hogar, bendice nuestros hijos, bendice nuestras vidas. Permite señor que yo sea la mujer que mi esposo anhela, y que el sea el hombre que yo anhe-lo. Señor restaura ese sacramento fuerte por el que estamos unidos. Sana Señor. Señor que la Sagrada Familia se mude a mi hogar, para que como madre sepa criar a mis hijos, al estilo de María. Y para que mi esposo tenga la fuerza y la valentía de San José, y para que nuestros hijos sean como Jesús. Mándanos a tus Santos Ángeles, a los Arcángeles San Rafael, San Gabriel y San Miguel, para que nos protejan. Derrama tu preciosa san-gre sobre este matrimonio, sobre el hogar, sobre la familia.
