Message from the BAR PresidentDear Colleagues & Friends,
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to Barbados once again to join with us in our second collaborative event. This year we continue the successful partnership of 2013 with our sister organization the Barbados Health Information Management Association as we share with you Conference 2015 - “Healthcare Transformation: Managing the Workflow, Data Flow, Cash Flow”
Imaging and therapy professions have undergone dramatic changes globally. The move towards filmless environments, incorporation of multiple imaging modalities in cancer treatment planning and delivery, computer based modelling in the identification and treatment of disease, the secure management of digitally generated client and employee information ….all demand a new way of “doing business”.
It is my hope that as we explore the theme of Conference 2015, we are challenged to assist in the creation and development of the new environment.

It is my pleasure to extend a warm invitation to all Health Information Management (HIM) Professionals locally, regionally and internationally to the Barbados Association Radiographers -Barbados Health Information Management Association Biennial 2015 Conference “Healthcare Transformation: Managing the Workflow, Data flow, Cash flow”.
Globally, the Health Information Management Profession is undergoing exciting and challenging transformations. It is paramount that we join together to embrace these changes, especially with the integration of information technology into health care delivery. As HIM professionals we need to support and champion the innovations taking place in our profession and ensure that we stay up-to-date with the current trends.
The conference organizers are working assiduously to secure an amazing slate of presenters, hot topics and interactive sessions with hopes to meet your professional development and continuing educational needs.
I encourage all HIM professionals, Allied health professionals and Clinicians to take this opportunity to share expertise, learn, network and experience new cultures!
