National Day Celebration! ‘Today was an amazing day! I enjoyed every bit of

celebration from decorating the class to walk to

take a look of projects done by our mates on the

theme past and present UAE houses’’. Says Ahmad. “I loved the henna designing and the dance” Says

Amal.

Year level wise various sectors were planned

focusing UAE time line from 1971-2015-2021. Topic

selected by each level was housing, clothing, food,

sports & recreation, education, trade, transport,

UAE achievement, tourism, rulers and culture

where various tents were set up for showcasing the

progress of the UAE based on the theme of ‘Global

Village’. Year 3 projected past and present houses.

Mufti Day, also known as Uniform-free

day, is a day where students go to school in

casual clothing instead of school uniform. We

celebrated our MUFTI DAY on 15th Nov,

2015.

Charity is defined as love directed first

towards God but also toward oneself and

one's neighbours as objects of God's love. On

this day, students were encouraged to

contribute for charity. They were motivated

to cultivate the moral values like generosity,

helping and caring for the poor and the needy

etc… Students presented themselves in blue

dress to show their compassion towards other

humans. It was a sweet and memorable day

filled with joy and happiness.

KHDA Sports Day was celebrated in the school

premises on 25th November 2015.

Everyone can gain the health benefits of physical

activity - age, ethnicity, shape or size do not

matter.

The students of Year 3 had an aerobic session in

the class during the Core value period.

After school activities were specially organized

for parents, staff and students. Parents, students

and teachers participated enthusiastically.

Different matches like soccer was arranged for

the men while throw ball was arranged for the

women. There were also various fun games like

bombing the health issues, Lemon and spoon

race, foo –ball etc.

The support given by the parents towards this

event is commendable.

Hour of Code

The theme for the week was “Hour Of

Code”, a tutorial was shown to the children

to make them understand what is Hour Of

Code. The Hour of Code is a one-hour

introduction to computer science, designed

to demystify code and show that anybody

can learn the basics. TWS host the whole

week as an Hour OF Code to make it possible

that every student should have the

opportunity to learn computer science. It

helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic

and creativity. Being tech savvy children

they all were excited to use their BYOD’S

to play and explore coding methods.

Children enjoyed it a lot and they won

the certificates too for completing the
