“Do unto others before they do unto you!”

So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

—Matthew 7:12 ESV

1For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to

a yoke of slavery… 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision

counts for anything, but only faith working through love… 13For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh,

but through love serve one another.

14For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are

not consumed by one another.

—Galatians 5:1, 6, 13-15 ESV Freedom Does Not Mean Indulgence“opportunity for the flesh” (Galatians 5:13)

“Our faith in Christ brings freedom, but not license.”

1What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may

abound? 2By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3Do you not know that all of us

who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

4We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of

life. —Romans 6:1-4 ESV

“The spiritual weakness of today’s evangelical churches and their leaders ought to convince any honest believer that the most imminent

threat to our gospel witness at the moment is hardly an unhealthy fixation with being correct.

Indifference about personal holiness, apathy about sound, biblical doctrine, and an easy-going susceptibility to worldly values are far more pressing problems.” —John MacArthur

1As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over

opinions. 2One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only

vegetables. 3Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not

the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.

4Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. —Romans 14:1-4 ESV
