InvitationWhile Europe is struggling for economic growth, the internet industry is growing at 12% a year, promoting innovation and employment in the sector. To make full use of its capabilities, the internet has to be assessed with all potential opportunities rather than its risks. Especially, Cloud Computing pro vides tremendous opportunities which could lead to a revolution of today’s economy.

Vice-President of the European Commission Neelie Kroes, Co-CEO of SAP Jim Hagemann Snabe, and the European Data Protection Supervisor Peter Hustinx, as well as further high-level speakers from business, politics and regulation have already confirmed their participation. In order to ensure the international competitiveness of the European digital economy for tomorrow, the EU has to take the right steps today. Our

discussion will focus on the action to take and the way forward in this respect. Therefore, a determined trans-position of the EU regulation will be an essential element. Hence, a uniform and harmonised minimum standard for EU-wide data protection is required.

It is our pleasure to invite you to our symposium on Monday, 25th June 2012 under the title: “Cloud-Compu-ting – Between Growth Opportunities and Privacy”.
