December Parish Winners

Mid-Day # 233 Cynthia Tuning Evening # 047 Ron and Susan Hall

January 1st Holyday On this Friday, January 1

st, we honor Mary with a

special title, “Mother of God.” Since we believe that Mary’s child was fully divine as well as human, the title is most fitting. It recognizes her unique position as the one who bore God’s Son in her womb and nourished Him for 9 months before giving the Savior to the world. She is that first ray of dawn that announces a new day for humanity. We come together to recognize her at the start of a new year. Masses will be Thursday Dec 31

st,

at 7 p.m. and Friday Jan. 1st

at 7 am and at 12 noon.

Adoration Cancelled on January 1st There will be no adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, January 1st and no First Friday Confessions the day before.

Parish Office Hours The parish office will close at noon on New Year’s Eve and remain closed for New Year day.

Faith Formation Classes Following the Christmas Recess, Classes will resume on Sunday, January 10.

Sacraments Classes For anyone interested in working toward the sacrament of Confirmation or First Communion as an adult, Fr. Dennis and our seminarian Peter Santandreu will be offering classes starting Monday January 4

th at

7pm in St. Elizabeth’s rectory. These classes will run for an estimated 5 sessions. For more information or to register if you haven’t done so already, email Fr. Dennis at [email protected] or call him in the rectory at 366-1750 ex 4.

St. Elizabeth Feast Day Monday January 4

They are: Josiah Adorno, Alisha Burgos, Olivia Cole, Anthony Cruz, Andrew Ellman, Ashley Foringer, Patton Green, Nathan Keefe, Brayden Keppel, Katiria Martinez, Anthony Rivera and Issiah Ruiz. As they continue to grow may they have confidence in the Good Shepherd who came to bind up our wounds and bring back the stray!
