Baby Bottle Collection Remember to return your baby bottle by Father’s Day weekend filled with spare change. This is a fund-raiser of the St. Gianna Molla Center on Townsend St. in Dunkirk. Your family’s participation will help pay expenses for the pregnancy outreach center and can be a great way to teach family members about the sacredness of human life. It can be a wonderful expression of gratitude for the life that your mother and father shared with you.

Adults Receiving Sacraments Last Sunday, Dylan Reed was confirmed and received First Eucharist at the 11am mass. The previous Sunday, Jose Morales, Ciara Morales, Emigdio Vega, Tomasa Hernandez and Evelyn Hernandez were confirmed and received the Eucharist for the first time. We rejoice with all of them. May the Lord, who has shown his face to them, give them encouragement and joy in living out their faith.

Youth Ministry News Dunkirk Catholic Youth Ministry, based at St. Hyacinth School, now offers Open Gym Tuesdays in addition to their regular programming for high school youth. -Grades 5 – 7 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on Tuesdays of May and June. -High School from 7:30 -9pm on Sunday, May 14 and May 22 in St. Hyacinth Youth Room. -Grade 8 –30 years, from 7:30 -9pm on May 15 & 22.

60th Columban Spring Festival You won’t want to miss the annual Columban Spring Festival on Sunday, June 5 from noon to 6 pm. Since 1956 this event has supported the missionary work of the Columban Sisters throughout the world. Prizes will include $60,060 in cash, gift baskets, games of chance and fun booths. In addition, enjoy the Chiavetta Chicken Barbecue, Kid’s Activities, a Bounce House, Pony Rides and more. As always, you are invited to have a guided tour of the Retirement Home.

Forte Tenors Concert Thanks to the sponsorship generosity of LP Ciminelli, a Forte Tenors Concert will benefit Catholic Charities in support of their programs and services on June 30 at 7pm at Kleinhans Music Hall.
