Beef Burgundy Dinner

on Saturday

Homer United Methodist

Church is hosting a Beef

Burgundy Dinner on April

28. The dinner will take place from 4:30 pm to

6:30 pm at the church, located at 507 S. Homer

Road.

Cost is a free will donation and all proceeds will

go towards “Raise the Roof.”

Spring Prayer Breakfast

Saturday, April 28 is the

next Prayer Breakfast.

All are welcome and invited to fellowship,

communion, prayer, and breakfast. We will

focus on praying for several of the work areas

of this church. These work areas do a lot of

ministry and service and have needs many of

us know nothing about, so leaders will share

about the work area and then we will go out

into the church to pray for those needs.

We will meet in the Hearth Room at 8 am for

breakfast and end by 10:30 am. Please let us

know you are coming and we will set a place

at the table for you! Please contact Peg Born

at [email protected] to RSVP or if you

have questions. Hope you can join us!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in

every situation, by prayer and petition, with

thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Donations needed…Can you help?

Life Groups are such a privilege! They

fellowship, serve and study together and

they care for and encourage group

members and people outside the group.

The Thursday Morning Bible Study Life

Group has been led to begin a straw bale

garden for its mission project to reach out

and share the love of Jesus Christ. We

have invited several organizations with

clients in need of friendship and a

peaceful place to gather to buddy with

us in this opportunity.

The preparation for this outreach begins

with gathering the needed items for the

project. We will condition the bales, build

a fence to keep deer out and begin to

plant seeds. We were wondering if any of

you have some of the necessary supplies

stored away in your garage and if you would like to pass them on for

use in this mission project? Below are items we hope to collect. If you

do, you can call and we can pick them up. We would be grateful for

your help in this! Thank you for your generosity.

Soaker hoses Garden benches Landscape fabric

Fishing line Potting soil Plastic sheeting

Trowels T-posts 2x4 or 2x6 lumber

Fence wire Large flower pots Unopened lawn

fertilizer (12-12-12 or others)

This is an exciting project as we share our talents (or no talent) with

those in the community who would benefit from a project like this.

Please ask us about the project if you see one of us. Group members

include Alysia Bucci, Belinda Blasy, Beth Ewerth, Bethany Goodman,

Carol Harfmann, Carolyn Graham, Cheryl Dauer, Chuck Goodman,

Denise Lundy, Donna Richards, Ed Hannum, Joan Grady, Joyce

Halstead, Judy Bishop, Julie Pangborn, Linda Gorman, Nancy Hannum,

Peg Born, Sharon Kilgore, Suzanne Ballard, and Virginia Ballard.

To donate items please call Sharon Kilgore at 989-750-5039 or contact

her by email at [email protected].
