Over all ages, arrests and mental health emergencies dropped 80% (41 per 100 vs. 8 per 100).

School suspensions down 61%.

Reduction in hospitalizations the year prior to enrollment compared to 12 months in the program (61% vs. 13%).

PREP also proves to decrease symptoms of depression, anxiety, and psychosis.

SCREENING AND LINKAGE 151 participants received screenings, 106

returned for therapy or medical services.

WELLNESS PROMOTION Participants report increased social connectedness with indicators such as “I feel close to people in this community” and “In a crisis, I know I have support from my community.”

THERAPUETIC SERVICES 75% of TAY in the program for 6months reported improvement in managing their MH.

Peer-to-Peer

Support Services

Hired 6 peers in 2007 – Today CBHS employs 52 Peer Interns and Peer Specialists. 32 contracted programs report employing consumers

or participants. Peers provide wellness, recovery and other support

services (clinic, community, residential and locked settings). Formal certificate training through City College and

RAMS. Recently published RFQ seeks to identify a provider

to oversee Peer-to-Peer Support Services. NEW Peer Respite Program at SFGH BHC.
