• You will be working individually to complete the work for this Assessment Objective (although you will need your groups assistant to collect examples).

What Information is Required?
• It is important to decide the specific information that is needed before you start researching. For example:
– Date of birth
– When they were born
– Education
– Career etc.

Sources of Information
• The Internet is NOT the only source of information. Other sources include:
– Books
– Magazines
– CD-ROMs
– People (interviews and questionnaires)

Finding Information Again
• Bookmarks/Favourites in the web browser allow you to find information again.
• Social bookmarking sites like Deliciousallow you to share your bookmarks with others and access them from other computers.

Is the Information Useful?
• Not all information found will be useful.
• The following need to be evaluated:
– Suitability
– Reliability and trustworthiness

Copyright
• The “Right to Copy”.
• If the provider of the information has copyright to it then permission should be granted to use the information.
