The Bejewelled Collection
Ellen's latest collection of art explores one of her key passions, jewellery. Delicately painted with an attention to detail and a rich use of colour the collection is inspired by jewellery across the ages. Brilliant sapphires, blue diamonds, chunky gold chains and heady rubies are perfectly conveyed across this glamorous collection. The limited edition prints had a successful debut exhibition at Harrods and the exhibition is now set to go on a global tour. Each unique limited edition print is signed by the artist and hand-decorated with Austrian Swarovski crystals. Renowned for their brilliance and clarity, these crystals add a luxurious touch to an already sumptuous collection.
Originally from Yorkshire, Ellen began drawing and painting as a young child, with a love of pattern, colour and shoes! After graduating from Kings college, London in 1998, Ellen went on to found Anzu and firmly establish herself in London as a freelance designer working for clients such as Guerlain, Jo Malone and Harvey Nichols. Her love of the craft and her finely detailed designs along with her glamorous sense of style make her an e ortless artist as she blends high couture and cutting edge fashion. Her exquisite hand-painted illustrations are created using gouache, a watercolour favoured by Persian and Indian miniature artists. Ellen's illustrations take inspiration from a diverse variety of sources be it Cartier jewellery, Russian illustrator Bilibin, 1930s films, Paul Poiret, or English country gardens.
