Rosemary is a plant. Rosmary is used to help strengthen the memory and help remember the lost/killed soldiers.

The poppy flower is ot usually worn and is mostly used for Remembrance Day.

The eternal flame is a never-ending flame that remembers more than 100,000 soldiers who died in wars.

The Last Bugle Post is trumpet or bugle call/music sounded at 10pm each night to inform soldiers that they should be inside their tents for the night.

Reveille is a piece of music or a call, played using the bugle by soldiers before or during work.

The Victorian Cross was first given to soldiers of the Crimean War.

The Shrine of Remembrance is located on King Domain on St. Kilda Road Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Mateship is an idea that usually men have. It is really important in the army. Soldiers weren’t just friends, they looked out and helped each other so they could feel better and be safe.

Rosemary is used to help strengthen the memory and help remember the lost/killed soldiers.

It is used for wreaths and honour boards on ANZAC DAY.

There is an eternal flame at front of the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

It is also played at military funerals to indicate that the soldier has completed his life’s work and is now resting.

It is the morning wake up call for soldiers to go on duty.

It was the first award that a British serviceman could achieve.

It was built as a memorial to remember all the men and women from Victoria who died firstly in World War 1 then in all the following wars.

Soldiers showed each other respect and they depended on each other.

Red poppies were the first flowers to spring/bloom on the battlefields where the soldiers were killed in France and Belgium.

Eternal flames are found in most war memorials all over the world.

The Shrine of Remembrance is used for services, which is like a prayer time, on both ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day.

Mateship means loyalty and strong friendships.

The red poppies symbolize the blood of the soldiers soaking into the ground on the battlefields.

The eternal flame never stops burning.

Mateship means to be together no matter what happens.

The sacrifice of shed blood.

It is a symbol of eternal life.

his friend and if one friend is in trouble, the other friend helps unconditionally. Unconditionally means to do something without being asked or without expecting anything in return.

The Flander’s poppy has been a part of Remembrance Day for a very long time and a poem called “Flander’s Fields” was written by John McCrae to honour the soldiers who fought and died.

Australia’s first eternal flame was in Brisbane in 1930.

Having a mate could be someone you have a shared experience with and someone you would like to be with throughout the war and always.

“We Shall Keep the Faith”

The eternal flame shows the ANZAC spirit because it shows thankfulness and pride to the soldiers. It should keep on burning as a light and inspiration for future generations.
