We get up day after day believing in the Lord. Some days our faith is strong and other days it just seems life is too hard. Then there are the mundane times. We try to overcome the worldly pressures and concerns with our actions. So, how do we maintain our faith through it all? Jesus shows us how to build and maintain our faith.

As a congregation through the Angel Tree Ministry, PUMC provides Christmas gifts, cookies, and Bibles for children of people who are incarcerated and would be unable to get gifts for their children. Members of the congregation may choose a child from the "Angel Tree" in the main lobby in coming weeks, purchase and wrap the gift. Then return the package for distribution to the children. There are lots of opportunities to be involved with this mission. If you would to help beyond purchasing a gift, please contact Steve Brizendine 317.965.7623, to volunteer. Thank you!

Share God’s BIG Love with a child this Christmas - -

Pick a name off of the Angel Tree in the main lobby on the Sundays of Nov. 22, 29 and Dec. 6. Purchase the gift as indicated on the angel. Please follow instructions provided with the angel to package and wrap gift appropriately. Return gifts to PUMC by noon, Dec. 13.

PUMC's Mission Work Area is offering an opportunity for gift giving that requires no wrapping. (Also no driving nor shopping in a crowded mall.)

If you desire, you may make a gift to one of the following projects during the months of November and December at PUMC as a gift to your chosen friend or relative. You will be given an attractive card to give to the friend or family member whom you are honoring in this way. Also provided will be an insert describing the project to which you are contributing. Opportunities this year include: Madina School in Sierra Leone, PUMC's Family Assistance Fund, Last Saturday Lunch, Scholarships for Students from PUMC, Feed the Hunger Outreach, and Kids Connection.

There will be a display in the South lobby on Nov. 15 & 22 and Dec. 6 & 13 where you may get more detailed information and make your contributions. (You determine the amount of the gift.)

Next Sunday, November 22, bring your Blessing Bags to worship to share about God’s blessings in your life and Glory Sightings (the ways you’ve seen God at work for good) you’ve encountered. Blessing bags are available on your way out of the sanctuary this morning.

Exciting changes are on the horizon that will grow PUMC’s worship ministry to include more people, more music, and more opportunities to serve so that God's BIG Love is shared with even greater impact.

In January 2016, NewDay Praise will move venues and time. Starting January 3, NewDay Praise will be held in Clayton Hall at 9:50 a.m. This revised and renewed worship experience will feature a more intimate setting, more creative expressions of the gospel, and an emphasis on hospitality and creating community.

In the sanctuary starting January 3, Classic Worship will expand to three hours starting every Sunday at 8:30, 9:50 and 11:10 a.m.

Will you help make these changes effective and successful so that PUMC can expand its witness and welcome in worship and continue its excellent expressions of praise and worship? All Sunday morning ministry teams will need additional volunteers. Please give prayerful consideration to where and how you might serve. Visit the display in the main lobby today to learn more and sign-up to help.

Thank you!

Thank you for being a part of an amazing experience last Sunday for PUMC’s Consecration Sunday. Worship was spectacular, lunch was delicious, and fellowship was very special. Because of your generosity on that day, PUMC leadership is pleased to make the following report. Last Sunday, November 8, 2015, as a part of Consecration Sunday worship….

A total of 187 giving units (husbands and wives or single persons) completed Estimate of Giving Cards.

A total of 147 of these giving units increased their financial commitment above their last year’s amount.

A total of 187 giving units present to fill out Estimate of Giving Cards on Consecration Sunday committed a total of $707,523.

Based on last year’s giving records, we can expect to receive $344,272 during the coming year from people who have consistent giving patterns during the past twelve months but were not present on Consecration Sunday.

Based on the average total of loose offerings during the past three years, we can expect to receive $6,806 during the coming year from that source.

This gives us a grand total of $1,058,601 anticipated income for the next twelve months. The total income for our general operating budget during the last twelve months was $989,632.

Next year, we can expect our operating budget income to increase by $68,969.

This is a 6.97 percent increase in total giving above last year. If you would still like to participate and complete an Estimate of Giving Card, please find one at the back of the sanctuary, the Welcome Center desk, or the Church Office. Additional updates will be made as additional commitments are received. Because God gives, we give. Thank you for your generosity!
