Natural Gas Production Stimulation

STIMGAZ is a bar shaped, solid, nonionic surfactants containing, foaming product, used in natural gas well, as well as gas condensate well (up to 20% of the total liquid volume).

STIMGAZ produces the foaming of fresh or salted water, in order to reduce the hydrostatic pressure over the prodution layer and increase gas production, consequently restoring production in semi fl ooded wells.

APLICATION EFFECTS Water foaming in gas wells reduces hydrostatic load, increases the resevoir gas fl ow rate and allows removal of fl uid accumulated in the well. In many cases, the phenomenon is accompanied by removal of solid deposits that can occur during operations. Using the foaming bars in the reservoir injected water, leads to a redution in friction of the fl uid fl owing through tubular as well as rocks, reducing energy consuption and increasing injection fl ow rate. Foaming bars reduce fricions during swabbing operations and prptect swabbing gaskets against wearig,

DROPPING IN THE WELL Compared to liquid products, the use of foaming solid bars is extremely easy because it requires a simple lubricator installed on the Christmass tree, from which foaming bars fall under the eff ect of gravity. In the air, the dropping velocity is 1000 m/15 seconds while in water the dropping velocity is about 300 m/min.. Due to variable friction and consistency (density) of the counter fl owing fl uid along the production tubing, substantialy diff erent velocities are encountered.

OPERATION The foaming bars are periodically introduced at time intervals imposed by the obvious drop of the well fl ow rate, consequence of the accumulated liquid or occurrence of excessive pressure losses along the production lubing as determined by the specifi c structure of biphasic fl ow (plugs, bubles, slipage etc.)

The dropping of foaming bars can be performed automatically with appropriate devices installed on the Christmass tree, actuated by the pressure diff erence between tubing and casing or as a function of production drop under a certain limit.

COURSE OF ACTION Dissolution of foaming bars and its eff ect is immediate and is completed in about 2-5 hours - pending on the conditions and characteristics of each individual well:

Depth and pressure/fl ow rate characteristic of each individual well;

Quantity and composition of the produced water;

Condensate content; Bottom hole temperature; Gas-water system in bottom hole

foaming conditions; The conditions listed above determine the frequency and number of the foaming bars periodically dropped in the well. In most cases the number is estabilished quickly enough by experimental observations after the fi rst operation. it usually starts with 0.5 - 1 kg of foaming bars dropped at intervals of 2-3 days and fi nally stabilized at 0.3 to 1.5 kg at 7-10 days interval, depending on the well.

STIMGAZ S. For wells that produce gas and salt water with or without suspended solids particles: foaming bars with specifi c gravity of 1.05 - 1.15 g/cm3

STIMGAZ D. For wells that produce gas and low mineralized water: foaming bars with specifi c gravity of 0.9 - 1.05 g/cm3

STIMGAZ U. For wells with cement plug set at segnifi cant distance below perforations and/or those with the production tubing set above perforation, with low gas fl ow rate and weak mixing conditions. These foaming bars are made with specifi c gravity lighter than 0.9 g/cm3

STIMENERGAZ. For semi fl ooded wells with reduced available gas, water activated, gas (hydrogen, acetylene or CO2) producing foaming bars are used. This determines the initial agination conditions for foaming and lifting process towards the surface of liquids accumulated in the well, after which the process is continued with the well’s available gas.

STIMCONDGAZ. For wells producing accumulated water mixed with condensate with a rate of up to 5:1.

STIMGAZ SPECIAL. For wells with special conditions, the foaming bars can be produced with an adequate chemical composition based on well hydrodynamic analysis, operating conditions and chemical analysis of the produced fl uids.
