About the Make-A-Wish Foundation Among these organizations is the Make-A-Wish

Foundation of Arizona, the chapter that launched the international organization. The chapter’s efforts to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses includes creative fund-raising ideas.

One fund-raiser is the annual Arizona Concoursd’Elegance, held in January 2014 in Phoenix. This auction event featured 75 classic automobiles and took in $24,000 in ticket sales and donations.

Conclusion Winning the best of show award was a 1925 Hispano-

Suiza H6B Cabriolet de Ville, first owned by millionaire Andrew Mellon. Buying the car in bad condition in 1970, the current owner fully restored it over the next 40 years.

About 20 cars, ranging in years of manufacture from 1907 to 1987, received awards. Organizers are planning a second event for January 2015.
