A letter in theLancet describes a 26-year-old woman who reportedthat her male Rottweiler dog repeatedly tried to mounther during the 10 days of each menstrual cycle when shetook cyproterone 100 mg/day to treat hirsutism. The doghad to be castrated as its behaviour became tooembarrassing. Subsequently, the woman was able tocontinue her cyproterone therapy without interferenceby the dogCotterill JA.
