SCHOOL-BASED POLICIES ON ANTI-BULLYING: OBJECTIVES OF THE POLICY: 1. All teaching and non-teaching staff, students, parents and everyone should have an understanding of what bullying is 2. All teaching and non teaching staff, the stakeholders, should know what the school policy is on bullying, and follow it when bullying is reported. 3. All students, parents, the community as well should know what the school is on bullying and what they should do if bullying arises. 4. As a school we take the bullying seriously. Parents, students, and the community as well, would be assured that they will be supported as far as what we can do. 5. Bullying will not be tolerated. SCHOOL-BASED POLICIES: 1. Physical Aggression: Definition: Aggression refers to any behavior that is hostile, destructive, and/or violent. Generally, aggressive behavior has the potential to inflict injury or damage to the target person or object. Examples of aggressive behavior include physical assault, throwing objects, property destruction, self-harming behaviors , and verbal threats. Aggression can have mental aspects, as well. 2. Stealing or Damage to property 3 . Intimidation and Humiliation Intimidation (also called cowing ) is intentional behavior that "would cause a person of ordinary sensibilities" fear of injury or harm . It is not necessary to prove that the behavior was so violent as to cause terror or that the victim was actually frightened. [1] Humiliation : degradation, dishonor. 4 . Abusive texts or calls 5 . Indirect : being unfriendly, spreading rumors, excluding, tormenting like hiding bags or books etc.

7.Homophobic bullying: Homophobic language and bullying are motivated by prejudices against lesbian, gay or bisexual people. Stonewalls research,The School Report2012, shows that more than half (55 per cent)of gay young people experience homophobic bullying and almost all (99 per cent) hear the phrases thats so gay or youre so gay in school.8. Bullying based on disability, ability, gender, appearance or circumstance.
