It was written into the law that public access to the implementation process waseliminated. It is in the details of implementation that many questions will be answered:
Can a child switch schools and keep his/her existing medical exemption?Is a medical exemption issued in 2019 or earlier honored if it is brought to theschool for enrollment after fall, 2019?If a doctor is disciplined by the Medical Board of California, is the medicalexemption for which the doctor is disciplined disallowed, or are all of thedoctors' medical exemptions disallowed? Is there an appeal processsubsequent to this action?Will the use of titers as proof of immunity require a medical exemption or canthis be changed since so few medical exemptions are allowed doctors annually?How private are the medical exemptions written before the end of 2019?
It is wonderful that grandfathering was part of the amendments, but grandfatheringmay be riddled with holes through the many ways to undo a medical exemption.
My understanding at this point in time is this:
a school which has less than 95% vaccination rate or does not report itsvaccination rate will be reviewed annually and the medical exemptions at thatschool may be examined;a school nurse can refer a medical exemption to the Department of PublicHealth if she feels there is a problem;a doctor's practice may be named a 'risk to public health' and medicalexemptions from that practice are refused until the doctor proves the publichealth risk has passed;disciplinary action by the Medical Board of California brought to a doctor mayresult in one or all of the doctor's medical exemptions being refused.
Physicians for Informed Consent and A Voice for Choice are working to clarifyelements of the law. A Voice for Choice is also compiling information onhomeschooling.

Submit NOTHING to the state except what is absolutely required. If you submit anexemption to the state, you become tracked, and the doctor who wrote it, and medicalrecords (including family history) will be put in a database.

I SutterA mother this month recounted that on a routine visit for her 12 yr old at Sutter, Shewas told she needed to step outside for the �rst 5 minutes. After the appointment, thechild told his mother that he was urged to receive vaccines and he was given his ownlogin to his medical record on the Sutter site. Understandably, the mother sees thismedical approach as a wedge between parent and child.

LOSS OF TRUE NORTH IN SCIENCEFor some time, universities have been seen as promoting politically correct speechinstead of critical thinking.
Now, academicians Peter Boghassian, Jim Lindsay and Helen Pluckrose made an e�ortto write 20 bogus scienti�c papers, using crazy themes, and try to publish them. Sevenwere accepted in big journals, including the biggest feminist journal. Eventuallythe Wall Street Journal became suspicious, and the ruse was made public.
This may become a documentary �lm, and there is a book on this systemic problem inscience.

WHENEVER YOU GET A VACCINEBe sure to di�erentiate between which vaccines are MANDATED and the much largernumber which are on the CDC VACCINE SCHEDULE. There are 7 mandated vaccinesat this time.
For a vaccine-vulnerable child, don't give any more vaccines than you must give.
Always ask for the inserts when you go for vaccines, and ask for the name of theperson who is administering and ordering the vaccine (usually a nurse and a doctor,respectively). Ask to read the label on the syringe or vial and/or take a photo, andrequest a copy of the vaccination record at the end of the appointment. Approximately 15 vaccines are required for unvaccinated child to enterkindergarten, approximately 13 vaccines required for unvaccinated child to enter 7thgrade. To avoid giving a lot in a short time, begin before the date of entry and leave afew for after school starts. This is allowed as Conditional Admission Schedule.

Titers for measles, rubella and tetanus are valid. In order to avoid these vaccines basedon a titer, a medical exemption must be given.

I do avoid mmrv combo bc of increase seizure risk. I discourage giving multiplealuminum containing izs at once bc of cumulative aluminum content. I also do not liketo give live iz with aluminum containing iz. That’s based on my own understanding of immune function and dysfunction andhoping caution here will help decrease autoimmunity responses. Also I am verycautious of home mold exposures and any izs. I have seen that a few times in patientswho I believe developed pandas after mmr.
