SAP recognizes the tremendous contributions US military personnel make in protecting our nation. To acknowledge the contributions of our servicemen and women, SAP has launched the Veterans to Work initiative to help our country’s veterans acquire the skills and training they need to be successful in today’s information technology workforce.

Question – What is SAP’s Veterans to Work program?

SAP, the world’s leading provider of enterprise software, has introduced a program to offer high-tech skills training and career placement assistance for US military service personnel making the transition to civilian life. This program will help meet the strong and growing demand in the US economy for skilled technology professionals and enable veterans to successfully re-enter the work force in a difficult economy. To give back to this community that has given so much to America, SAP is creating the Veterans to Work program, building on our long record of engagement with the US military, veterans organizations, schools and business partners. The Veterans to Work initiative will provide training on cutting-edge SAP database, analytics and mobility technology solutions. The program will give veterans valuable skills that will make them more employable for years to come in one of the world’s leading technology ecosystems.

Question – Who is eligible to apply for SAP’s Veterans to Work program?

The program is available to active duty service members who are transitioning out of the military and meet the eligibility requirements below: • Transitioning out of active duty in the next 90 days, or have received an honorable discharge • Experience working with information technology solutions and are interested in pursuing a

career in information technology • Meet minimum course pre-requisites • Applicants must have graduated high school (bachelor’s degree preferred)

Question – When and where will this program be offered?

Beginning in November 2012, the program will offer streamlined certification programs in three crucial market categories:

• Database technology • Data analytics • Mobility software

Courses lasting from one to nine days will be offered in both instructor-led classrooms and online, self-paced formats.

In 2013 and beyond, SAP will expand the program to reach more locations across the nation, partner with more veterans service organizations, and expand the number of offerings through both short-term certificate courses and multi-year university degree programs. We also will foster mentorship and community among program participants.

Our five-year goal is to train and certify thousands of veterans per year as database administrators, software developers, and technical consultants in the North American market.
