Uncopyrighted

As with all of my writings, they are uncopyrighted. I would hope the customers

that purchase this would be honest and not copy, distribute, or sell my product for

their own gain. I believe in reaping and sowing. I make this product cheaply

available for others to be able to allow them to school their children affordably. I

would hope no one would take from someone’s charity to use for their own gain

This book is for the home educator or anyone looking to improve upon their

child’s skill sets. It contains multiple lessons and skills that will help reinforce your

fifth graders knowledge before they enter sixth grade. It reviews math concepts,

reading concepts, and various grammar lessons.

How do I recommend you do this book? However you feel is comfortable. Let me

share with you how I wrote the book and will intend to use it with my children.

On page 7, there is a suggestion on how to keep track of your child’s book reading

this summer. I would recommend doing this to encourage more reading.

I would then suggest you do three pages of learning per day beginning on page

13.

Included are enough pages to do 65 days of extra work.

I hope you find this resource helpful in your child’s academic growth. My

intention is to help simplify learning to create a more peaceful, organized, and

happy home.

Be blessed,

Amy Maryon

Reading for the summer months.

Encourage your student to read as many books as they can during these summer months.

What if your child doesn’t enjoy reading alone? You can choose a variety of read aloud books

and read to your child. Set aside a specific time of day to do this so that you do it. On the next

page let your child, when they are finished reading, write the title of the book and give it a star

rating. Pick up a pack of shiny foil stars and let them put in the box the rating.

I can take it or leave it

It’s good for a rainy day.

You have to read this one!

It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read!

Fine tuning description writing requires a lot of practice. I want you to draw a picture of your pet or an animal.

Then I want you to write two different WANTED posters. On one I want you to write a positive paragraph about

your illustration. The other I want you to write a negative paragraph about your illustration. For example, draw a

picture of your dog. In your positive paragraph make a wanted poster saying he is missing and is a great loved

family pet. In your negative paragraph write a wanted poster saying he is wanted for destroying your mother’s

favorite shoes.

Time for cleaning!

Our family is busy with our annual cleaning of our home. I do like to do things in an orderly way. I have decided to

arrange all the items into 9 different groups. Below is a list of the items I have cleaned and sorted to sell at a

garage sale. But one of the items in each group doesn’t belong. Help me by writing a category title on the sign

above each group. Then cross out the item that does not belong in that group.

An acronym is a kind of abbreviation. It is a word made out of the first letters of a title or group of words. An

acronym doesn’t have periods, and it is usually written in capital letters. For example, SCUBA stands for Self

Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus.

For each word below, think of a title or group of words that the acronym could represent.

Talk me into it.

Ads and commercials can be very convincing. I want you to think of something that you really

want. Then I want you to state it in a topic sentence to begin your paragraph. Next, you should

support your position on why you want this thing. You should have at least three detail

sentences that give reasons, facts, and or examples. Avoid saying that you just really want it

Finally, sum it all up the entire paragraph on what you said, in on sentence.

them at least 5 times each.
