ANSI/UL-142

ANSI/UL-142 Tanks are atmospheric storage tanks intended for installation above

ground. UL-142 tanks are fabricated from commercial grade carbon steel or Type 304 or 316 stainless steel. These tanks are intended to be used to store noncorrosive, stable flammable and combustible liquids that have a specific gravity not exceeding 1.0

UL-142 Tanks may be oriented vertically or horizontally; of single wall or double walled construction and have provisions for normal venting and emergency venting. The heads on horizontal UL-142 tanks can be flat flanged or flanged and dished. The shell height of a vertical tank is not to be more than 50’ and the diameter is not to exceed 14’
