In July 2014 I travelled to New York City because of work. With my colleague I took a walk through the city. My name is Insa Wulf and at the following pages I want to show you what I have seen, I want to tell you what I experienced, give you an impression of the atmosphere.Maybe you find some inspiration, maybe you fall in love with some beautiful landscape. Most of all I want to encourage you to travel and explore new places. And until then: feel the different moods in this little book.

New York City 5

„New York – often called New York City or the City of New York to distinguish it from the State of New York, of which it is a part – is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York metropolitan area, the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States and one of the most po-pulous urban agglomerations in the world.A global power city, New York exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations,New York is an important center for international diplomacyand has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world.“ source: Wikipedia

New York City roars. So many squares, right angles, parrallel streets. So many different people going or rushing in the perfectly ordered streets. You either go along one of the huge avenues or there is nobody in the side roads. Additionally you barely find a place to sit down if it is not in one of the parks. It feels like there are no steps or else to sit down. The houses are like canyons carved into the stones of the huge buildings. The variety of stores, signs, food, style of people, ... - it is endless. The architecture of the houses reflect a selection of architecture styles that amaze. The stone, and its carved statues in the wall, the different sha-pe of all the windows; the different expressions in the people‘s faces; the different styles they are wearing.

What is the difference to Guangzhou? New York has this variety of styles - anyway every man wears those weird brown pants. And in Guangzhou the air conditioning does not work properly - which I am so happy about. It‘s making you all dizzy everytime you get outside and freezing cold everytime inside the houses.

Those huge world cities are astonishing crazy.
