The exhibition installation is part of a broader research project on the relationship between nature and the built environment. Led by the Nordic countries, it invites the wider community to participate and contribute to the global architectural discourse.

Humankind is actively shaping the world today. The geological impact of human activity is so pronounced that it has changed the behavior of our planet. This is the epoch of the Anthropocene. Though the Anthropocene may appear to mark the momentin which humans have come to overpower nature, it is alsoan opportunity to rethink the most fundamental relationship between our buildings and ecology. Architecture should be considered a tool for redefining the complete cycle of building, from its most basic components to its operating systems.

Another Generosity explores the relationship between nature and the built environment, and how architecture can facilitate the creation of a world that supports the symbiotic coexistence of both. It seeks to create a spatial experience which heightens our awareness of our surroundings. Moreover, it is an attempt to foster dialogue, debate and criticism to help reveal new ways in which we can shape our world with another generosity. A generosity not just between humans, but between humans and nature.

L’umanità sta attivamenete dando forma al mondo d’oggi. L’impatto geologico dell’attività umana è così notevole da aver cambiato il comportamento del nostro pianeta. Questa è l’epoca dell’Antropocene. Sebbene l’Antropocene sembri possa segnare il momento in cui il genere umano abbia iniziato a sovrastare la natura, rappresenta anche un’opportunità per ripensare alla relazione tra edifici ed ecologia. L’architettura dovrebbe essere considerata un mezzo per ridefinire il completo ciclo di costruzione, dai componenti più semplici ai sistemi operativi.

Another Generosity esplora la relazione tra natura e ambiente edificato, e come l’architettura possa facilitare la creazione di un mondo che supporti la simbiotica coesistenza di entrambi.L’installazione cerca di creare un’esperienza spaziale che intensifichi la nostra consapevolezza di ciò che ci circonda. Inoltre, è un tentativo di promuovere dialogo, dibattito e critica per aiutare a scoprire nuovi modi in cui possiamo dare forma al nostro mondo attraverso una nuova generosità. Una generosità non solo tra esseri umani ma tra esseri umani e natura.

Another Generosity explores a structure that consists of a membrane holding two basic elements: air and water. The simple structures are combined to create a visible and dynamic cellular structure. The inflated elements mediate between the natural and built environment. They respond to external and sometimes unseen stimuli, creating a new kind of experience, a momentary hesitation that heightens our awareness of our surroundings.

/Another Generosity esplora una struttura che consiste di una membrana che trattiene due semplici elementi: aria e acqua. Le strutture semplici sono combinate in modo da creare una visibile e dinamica struttura cellulare. Gli elementi gonfiati fanno da tramite tra ambiente naturale e ambiente edificato. Questi ripondono agli stimoli esterni e a volte invisibili, creando un nuovo tipo di esperienza, un’esitazione momentanea che intensifica la consapevolezza di ciò che ci circonda.
