Another 0% Budget Increase The library board of trustees and library director are pleased to announce that there will be no increase to the library budget for the third year in a row. In considering the proposed budget for the coming year, the board of trustees was able to craft a budget with a zero percent increase. The 2018-2019 budget of $9,699,000 is the same amount as it was for 2015-2016, 2016- 2017, AND 2017-2018. The tax levy for 2018- 2019 will remain at $9,214,000. As such, there will be no budget vote this year. The estimated tax rate associated with the proposed operating budget is $28 per $100 of assessed valuation, which equates to an estimated annual levy of $700 for an average household (based on an assessed valuation of $2,500). Please contact Kerri Rosalia, library director, at 631-399-1511, x200, if you have any questions or need additional information on the 2018-2019 budget.
