ANNUAL SYLLABUS 2020 – 21
Class X
Dear Parents,
Syllabus of class X is in accordance with CBSE guidelines and is crafted in a manner that
aids timely submission, assessment of repetition to aid retention. The syllabus will be
completed by the month of November. Syllabus once covered will not be repeated, it is
therefore mandatory to maintain regularity to school for better performance

Weightage of promotion
a) Scholastic domain -80 marks
As per CBSE guidelines for the board examination for class X , each subject in the exam
will have a weightage of 80marks , which is conducted by CBSE in the month of march
33% is the minimum passing scale
b) Internal Assessment -20 marks
It includes marks and grades based on performance of child in activities /assignments
/files/project etc. Passing percentage for internal assessment is 33%

Enthusiastic participation in school programs & activities and regulatory in submission
of assignment will be taken in account while grading.
Given holiday homework, class and board decoration will be assessed as a part of
examination curriculum .
Co-Scholastic grading on 5 point grading scale (A-E)will be done for the following
1. Work education i.e.: computer education
2. Art education
3. Health and physical education (sports ,swimming & horse riding)
Please Note :
1. Atleast 76 %of attendance is required for the child to be able to sit for CBSE
board exam as computed on 31 jan.
2. It is mandatory to get qualifying grade ie: D in all internal assessment subjects
(art and physical education) otherwise the result will be with held by the board
.
3. Regulatory in attending the school is important .Being in touch with the
teacher certainly improves the result. Parents should be able to give
justification for any leave taken by their ward.

five academic subjects. If any student fails in any of the three elective

vocational subject (i.e.: information technology) and the result of class X will be
computed based on best five subjects .The child will be granted promotion to
class XI.

SWIMMING SYLLABUS (2020-21)
Class X
Swimming is considered a very ancient sport. It is very entertaining. In ancient
“YUNAN ROME”, soldiers were given training. The credit of developing modern
swimming goes to England.

HORSE RIDING SYLLABUS (2020-21)
Class X
Various steps at riding, that are as follows:
1. Taking fear out of the mind of the child
2. Second step is mounting and dismounting from the horse
3. Thirdly, positioning himself or herself by adjusting the leg as to it can handle the
weight of legs and body
4. Fourthly, the first step of the horse is walk as the child will initially feel the grip by
sitting on the saddle
5. Fifthly, the second major step trot as the child will move up and down on the saddle
while the horse is running
6. Then, it comes to center as this step is taken after the fear from the child’s mind is
gone and the body has loosened up.
7. Lastly, it is gallop at the horse as when a person becomes totally fit and then only he
can do the art.

body

Second Term
