ORDINANCES FOR POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INTERNET AND WEB DESIGNING (P.G.D.I.W.) APPLICABILITY OF ORDINANCES FOR THE TIME BEING IN FORCE Notwithstanding the integrated nature of a course spread over more than one semester, the Ordinances in force at the time, a student joins a course shall hold good only for the examination held during or at the end of the year. Nothing in these ordinances shall be deemed to debar the University from amending the ordinances subsequently and the amended ordinances, if any, shall apply to all the students whether old or new. 1. APPLICABILITY OF ORDINANCES FOR THE TIME BEING IN FORCE

1. Structure and Duration of the Programme :

I. The Course for the PG Diploma in Internet and Web Designing shall be spread over one year. The Final examination shall be held in the month of April/May and Supplementary examination for reappear candidates in the month of September/October or on such other dates as may be fixed by the Academic Council.

The Programme of instruction will consist of - Core courses- Project work

II. The outline of tests and syllabi be such as prescribed by the Faculty from time to time.

2. Eligibility for Admission : Graduate in any subject.

3. Schedule for Examination Fees : The last date by which the admission forms and fees must reach the Registrar

(i) Has been on the rolls of the Department/College throughout the year preceding the examination.

(ii) Every candidate will be required to attend 75% attendance of the delivered lectures in each paper. Teaching/Seminar/Tutorial/Guided LibraryReading. Period of 1 hour's duration -1 attendancePractical of one period may be 2-3 Hrs. duration -1 attendanceReading, the attendance for period, the attendance for period, like the attendance of each paper, shall be 75% and will be considered like a paper of separate unit.

(iii) In case of student, whose names are struck off on account of non-paymentof fee, their periods, for the same they wore noy on the rolls, shall not beaccounted for,

(iv) Has completed the prescribed course of instructions for the examination, but has not appeared or having appeared has failed and has been recommended by the Head of the Department/Principal of the College for admission to such examinations as a late Department/College student without attending a fresh course of instruction (Theory & Practical) within a period of two years from of completion of the course.

8. Minimum Requirements to continue the programme : I. (a) In each theory paper 20% of the total marks are assigned to the

continuous assessment and 80% marks to the University examination and in each practical paper 60% of the total marks are assigned to the continuous assessment and 40% marks to the University examination.

(b) The minimum number of marks required to pass the examination shall be 35% an internal assessment as well as University examination in each paper.

(c) When a candidate has failed or placed under "reappear" in the University examination but passes in the continuous assessment, the marks in the continuous assessment shall be carried forsubsequent examinations.

(d) If a candidate has failed or placed under "reappear" in the continuous assessment, but passes in the University examination, the marks in the University examination shall be carried forsubsequent examination. In that case, the candidate will have to improve his/her score in continuous assessment by taking only a single test, which will consist of 20% of total marks for theory papers and 60% for practical papers. Such candidate will have to inform theHead of the Department/Principal of the College in writing and turnthe test will be scheduled by the Department/College.

II (a) A candidate who fails in one or two theory papers may be declared're-appear' in those papers and he/she have to clear the said paper(s) in two consecutive subsequent chances.

(b) If a candidate fails in more than two theory papers, he/she shall bedeclared 'fail'. He/She shall have to clear the examination as a

private candidate in the subsequent annual examination only. 9. Declaration of Results :

Three weeks after the termination of examination or as soon thereafter as possible. The Registrar shall publish the result of the candidates. Each candidate shall receive certificate indicating details of marks obtained in each examination. Successful candidates at the end of final examination shall receive of "Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application" stating the division to ordinance 10. The grace marks shall be allowed according to the ordinance relating to "award of grace marks.10. Award of division and distinction :

Successful candidates who obtain 60% or more of the aggregate number of marks in the examinations, shall be placed in the first division ; those who obtain 50% marks or more but less than 60% shall be placed in the second division and all below 50% marks shall be placed in the third division. Successful candidates who obtain 75% or more marks in aggregate shall be placed in the First division with 'Distinction'.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER-SETTERSThe question paper will consist of five sections A, B, C, D and E. Sections A, B, C and D will have two questions from the respective sections of the syllabus and will carry 20% marks each. Section E will have 5-10 short answer type questions which will cover the entire syllabus uniformly and will carry 20% marks in all.

SECTION D

Personality and its Development :- Personality Traits, Factors, Shaping a Personality.Personality skills : Self Management skills, Independent learning skills, Goal skills, background skills.Time Management : Meaning and Techniques, Time Budgeting, Value of time, Barriers to time management.Attitude Formation : Temperament, Inhibition, Positive Outlook.
