What does the FPA Business Support Team do........?

• Maintains critical business systems used by FPOs

• General admin and business support to FPA staff

• FPA consultancy program - provides admin support, risk management and contract advice

• Coordinates publications Assist FPA meet its statutory requirements

• FPA financial management

• Support activities of CFPO and Board

• Frontline response to queries from FPOs, other industry stakeholders and the public

• Coordinate training programs run by FPA for FPOs etc

Improving business efficiency and services through information technology……

• Forest Practices Plan Coverpage system– Efficient way of lodging and certifying FPPs

– Also used for invoicing, monitoring the Permanent Native Forest Estate, providing data for annual and other reports, and casual data enquiries

• Supporter other databases - Notifications, Biodiversity Values Database, Threatened Fauna Adviser, GIS, etc

• FPA website – pushing information out there

• Co-ordinated Smoke Management System

FPA Finances

• Income from FPP application fees has dropped from $1.4 million to around $300,000 per year

• Consultancy income is growing - $106,000 in 2012/13
