Highlights

August 2014Bitterroot College launches Welding Certificate of Applied Science Program under the direction of Ryan Smith. The Hamilton High School welding facility is leased during evenings for instruction. U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT III Grant Program funds this initiative.

September 2014Bitterroot College is awarded $144,000 to improve access to and success in healthcare professions programs through U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT IV Grant Program. Jenny Moore begins in June 2015 as Healthcare Transformation Specialist.

December 2014The Rob and Terry Ryan Foundation donates $100,000 to establish a 3D Printing program and Fabrication Laboratory (Fab Lab). Matt Grimes is hired to develop and implement the new program and Fab Lab.

January 2015Bitterroot College, in partnership with UM Mansfield Library, opens new Learning & Testing Center. Beth McHugh is hired as the Center’s Coordinator.

February 2015Bitterroot College and Hamilton School District commit to the relocation of Bitterroot College campus to District’s Westview facility in Hamilton. College and School District settle on a 5-year lease. Relocation is set for August 2015. April 2015Bitterroot College Commercial Driver License (CDL) Program Director Scott Ralston is invited to serve on National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools (NAPFTDS) Education Committee.

May 2015Montana Board of Regents Chair Paul Tuss gives Keynote Address at Bitterroot College Graduation held on the Daly Mansion grounds. Bitterroot College celebrates 23 graduates. June 2015Bitterroot College establishes partnership with Literacy Bitterroot to offer free EdReady Math instruction during summer 2015.
