PCRC 2018 Annual Report of GRATITUDE

Dear PCRC Community,

GRATITUDE. It is defined as “the quality of being thankful; readiness toshow appreciation for and to return kindness.”At the Pottstown Cluster ofReligious Communities (PCRC), it is with a deep and abiding sense ofgratitude we present this Report as a public acknowledgment of yourkindness, and in appreciation for your continued support for the work we do together to improve the overall quality of life for individuals and families in our region.

We firmly believe our community is strongest when the most vulnerableamong us are treated with dignity and respect. Our neighborhoods thrive for everyone when all are fed, securely sheltered, and have access toeducational resources. Your partnership — making our endeavors, goals, and mission a reality — is what we value most and for what we are mostgrateful.

The Annual Report of Gratitude highlights the ways in 2018 PCRC focused on:

• Exploring and/or implementing new programming and partnerships; • Expanding our physical campus; • Bringing government officials and our community together to discuss and debate real-world challenges; • Recognizing those who go above and beyond in service to our work; • New and improved ways to communicate our endeavors —

all for the purpose of serving our neighbors in the greater Pottstown area inour mission to provide tangible services, support, and spiritual guidance toaddress our clients’ basic needs. You will also learn the impact our efforts —together — have yielded.

We are Grateful to our LeadersPCRC’s Board of Directors take an active role in oversight of the organization.Along with their regular meetings and work, they participated in a Day ofClarity in the spring of 2018, facilitated by Laura Otten, PhD, ExecutiveDirector of the Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University’s School of Business.Work from that day led to greater opportunities for the strategic work of theBoard for the next few years.

We are Grateful to our Supporters and VolunteersOur progress could not happen without the consistent and generous supportof this community. Our faithful individual, business, and worship centersupporters are the backbone of our work. The hundreds of volunteers whoprovided more than sixteen thousand hours of their time in 2018 made thesuccess of our programs possible. PCRC appreciates the opportunity towitness the grace and kindness of this community as we work together tohelp our neighbors.

With all of these blessings, there is still more work to be done and challengesto face, so it is our hope we can count on your continued support. We humblythank you and are forever GRATEFUL.
