VISION

VALUES

Since 1975, Meals on Wheels of Tampa has been committed to fulfilling the mission of nourishing and enriching the independent lives of the homebound and seniors.

Meals on Wheels of Tampa will be recognized throughout Hillsborough County and the surrounding communities as an effective and efficient organization, focusing on the care of those confined to their own home and the elderly who need help to live independently.

Recipients will receive a hot meal and a caring visit designed to achieve these program outcomes: increased intake of nutritious food, improved personal outlook and health, and decreased feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Dear Friends, Passion for our mission. Integrity and accountability. Respect. Responsible stewardship. Outstanding service. These are the core values of Meals On Wheels of Tampa. With your support, we have served the homebound and elderly of Tampa healthy meals, 365 days a year. You are the reason we are able to continue to feed and care for our elderly and homebound neighbors. Your financial support makes this possible. We share our passion for this mission with you, believing that together we can continue to deliver the results of increased healthy intake of food and decreased feelings of loneliness for those who depend on Meals On Wheels of Tampa as a lifeline for health and safety. Studies continue to show that proper nutrition is a key to well-being for the elderly. Together we will deliver this mission to improve the lives of our community’s elderly and homebound, by allowing them to live with safety and dignity in their own homes. In the following pages, we invite you to read stories from our recipients, volunteers and donors telling how this mission has impacted them. Please see the results of what we have done during the last fiscal year, and the impact YOU have made on those we serve. Thank you for sharing our core values and believing in Meals On Wheels of Tampa. With a grateful heart, Steve King Dennis J. Pitocco Executive Director Board President

Impact of Donors Our 2,842 generous financial donors help Meals On Wheels of Tampa to be a resource for the homebound and seniors in our community.

Meals On Wheels of Tampa does not receive direct government funding. We rely on private funds, which we receive through individual contributions, corporate sponsorships, community partnerships, and special events to support programs that improve the quality of life and maximize independence for our senior and homebound neighbors.

Because of you, we do not currently have a waiting list to receive meals. Our ability to respond to Tampa's growing aging population and hunger problem continues to depend on the generosity of you, our donors. We thank you!
