Sunday, February 25, 2018

Dear Friends,

The marking of seasons is an important part of life. As the weather transitions from winter into spring, we can enjoy the warm weather and see for ourselves the promise of new life and new growth. The signs are everywhere around us. Walking into the Sanctuary, you may have noticed the beautiful peach blossoms and rosebuds populating our gardens. Each one seems poised, ready to break out into an announcement of springtime. Walking through our hallways, you will find similar images of hope and growth.

This is for all of us a great time to step back and to look at the life of our

congregation. There are many stories to be told about the life of this congregation. We are hard at work here in the church’s buildings, throughout our community, across the country and even in some far-away places. I do believe that God is blessing this work and will continue to do so into the future.

As you read through this Annual Report, you’ll find information about the work

of this First Presbyterian Church. Our Committees and Ministry Teams have provided examples of what I love about this congregation along with many reasons to celebrate the work that God is doing in our midst. I encourage you to read through the reports. If you are not already involved in the work of a committee or ministry team, please consider the opportunities for you to be more actively engaged in the life of the church.

Looking back through the past year, I find many reasons to be thankful. On

January 1, I marked the fifth anniversary of my tenure as the pastor of this congregation. Together we continue, continue to grow in faith, and continue to be effective in doing the work of the Church. I am grateful and thank you for the honor of working with you as the Senior Pastor of this First Presbyterian Church. As always, I pray the very best of God’s richest blessings for you all.

Sincerely,

Dr. David H. Green, Senior Pastor
