• The City of Calgary is considering additional regulations on land in proximity to rail, and BOMA Calgary is representing the industry and working to preserve the economic value of commercial properties.
• BOMA Calgary has begun working with the Real Estate Council of Alberta to update licensing courses so that they are more relevant and practical to property managers and commercial practitioners.
BOMA Calgary has begun the development of a strategy to ensure that the commercial real estate industry has appropriate access to energy efficiency grants and incentives from the Province’s carbon levy funds.
BOMA Calgary remains a valued stakeholder to the Government of Alberta as they make amendments to the Municipal Government Act. We are promoting solutions that will increase the transparency and equity of taxation and assessment, and bring additional certainty to the planning and development process.
