NARI SEWA SAMITI, U.P. ANNUAL REPORT

(For the year 2019-20)

Friends,

Nari Sewa Samiti has always been on the path of learning about the purpose of

education, vocations and counselling in a rapidly changing world, guided by the vision of our

founder Late Smt. Mona Chandravati Gupta, Padmashri awardee. The year 2019-2020 was a

year of ‘Looking Ahead’ for all of us :Evolutionary and Visionary, which reflects not only our

strong performance, but also, above all, the trends and opportunities of the future in the

unprecedented times of Covid-2019. How our world and the future has changed! Recently

imposed restrictions on daily life have forced us to quickly adopt to new ways of working,

learning and connecting with each other. Whilst this crisis has brought unprecedented

challenges both for people and society, we have been humbled by the wave of inspiring new

ideas developed in response to the same. Innovation is more important now than ever

before. From neighbourly acts of kindness to adopting online modes, the last few weeks and

months have shone a light on the power of human creativity and collaboration. Alongside

directly supporting, we’ve been tapping into our networks and harnessing the expertise of

our staff to pull together a list of practical ways to make a positive impact during the

pandemic.

The Annual Report articulates and demonstrates the dynamic nature of our units,

our units are reflective and responsive to stakeholders’ needs and there is quality

commitment at our end. In our educational units we ensure that students graduate with a

Joseph Campbell rightly said- “we must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one waiting for us”. As we embark on this new phase in our journey our aim will be to build a stronger organisation culture during this time of change that is inclusive, transparent and empowering. We believe that our values will form the foundation for us to work towards the ambitious goals we have in front of us, enjoy the process, learn from our mistakes, take pride in our achievements and innovate for the future. The present times of Covid-19 are tough but I am sure that like always I will have the unflinching support of the members of the Executive Committee. I am thankful to all of them in their support and guidance in the past years. I thank the Founder’s Representative and the President, Nari Sewa Samiti for their faith in my abilities and their support.
