Biography of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara
A Skilled womanAn Active woman,A Kind-hearted woman
Since the accession of her husband to the Supreme Magistracy Mrs. Dominique Ouattara has given up all her corporate activities as Chief Executive Officer to serve her citizens.Holding a BA in Economics obtained in 1972, a University Diploma of Languages taken, after two years specializing in Economics, in 1975 and a property Administrator Degree in 1987 and a Diploma in Real Estate Expertise in 1989, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara led a distinguished career, while devoting herself to her first vocation, namely the implementation of charitable actions in favor of vulnerable populations. Indeed, in 1979, she created the International AICI Real Estate Group, of which she is the CEO and which is established in several European and African cities. In 1996 she acquired the Jacques Dessanges brand in the United States and became then Chief Executive Officer of the "French Beauty Services" company which included the franchises and hairdressing schools in the United States, as well as hairdressing business and beauty institutes in New York and Washington. Alongside his brilliant professional career, since 1980, Mrs. Dominique
Ouattara is a great help for disadvantaged populations of Côte d'Ivoire, through the social actions she undertakes around the country. These allow her to determine the extent of the needs of the populations. Thus, in 1998 she formalizes her social commitment by creating Children of Africa Foundation. It campaigns for the well-being of vulnerable children of Africa, and mobilizes more and more people around this noble cause. She asked
her friend, Princess Ira von Fürstenberg, to be the godmother of the Foundation and to help her raise necessary funds for its humanitarian actions. Her struggle is approved, donors support her and volunteers commit themselves, allowing thus Children of Africa Foundation to operate in eleven African countries in addition to Côte d’Ivoire.
6 CHILDREN OF AFRICA | ANNUAL REPORT 2015
Dear Friends of the Foundation,Very Dear Donors,
We can never thank you enough for your generosity and your support to Children of Africa Foundation. Without your help, social projects that we implement, would never have been achieved. During 2015, we have once more succeeded in bringing back smile to thousands of children. We have built and renovated schools, created multimedia rooms and helped many underprivileged children have access to reading. Elsewhere, the Christmas Tree held at the Presidential Palace was also a real success, as well as Christmas trees extended throughout the country.
Meanwhile, we have also been able to make people, in need, consult and screened, during our health caravans.
Last year was also marked by the progress of the construction and equipment works of the Mother-Child Hospital of Bingerville. We look forward to seeing it to be operational, to accommodate expectant mothers and their children.
With your help, Children of Africa Foundation will continue to inspire children and relieve families. In 2016, the new project of the Foundation will consist in constructing and equipping the three reception centers for children in distress in the cities of Bouake, Ferkessédougou, and Soubré.
While waiting for the launch of this other big project, I know I can count on your continued support to enable us to provide « Another future for the children of Africa. ».

Subsidized Centers
Urbanization weakens the mecha-nisms of traditional social cohesion. The aftermath for the most under-privileged is translated by the exclu-sion of children in particular.
These children are victims who not only find themselves out of the sight of others, but also outside the Ins-titutions, having lost the commu-nity living codes: loss of the family and social bonds, lost of all sense of time, which leaves room for the only survival imperative. This is not irreversible.
The “SAMU Social” with its doctrine and its methods operates against this phenomenon.
