Introduction

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is an

on-profit grassroots organization based in Rajasthan. The organization works

largely with local communities on initiatives linked to their social empowerment

and livelihood support, it’s diverse and wide ranging interventions include, among

others, SHG’s Formation, water conservation, animal husbandry and vermin

composting, biodiversity health, education, child care environment protection,

gender issues and economic empowerment of women.

The organization works is currently spreads all over Rajasthan

Vision

To empower the deprived and vulnerable sections of the community through

enhancing their knowledge and awareness, thus providing those sustainable means

of growth and development

Mission

The organization is created are to provide relief to the people of urban and

rural areas, poor education mankind indiscriminate on the basis of cast, color

creed, religion, sex or language shall be the beneficiaries of the trust. Who endure

oppressive social and economic situations, in order to promote a since of

independence and self-worth. We achieve our mission by offering classis in Hindi,

English and Math’s and gives Arts & Crafts workshops, teaching the students skills

which will help to enable them to achieve economic independence in the future.

We encourage personality and social development, creating strong women’s

networks within their own communities, as well as providing community outreach

programs. Enable poor people to avail of basic services like health, education,

drinking water, employment to lead a quality life.

We believe in strengthening the lowest and marginalized section or group of

people deprived of their rights, totally neglected and isolated from the society at the

fringe of extension having no access to service of any kind be it education health,

economic, enjoyment. We want to bring smile on the faces of those who had

suffers years and many problems are cover them. They are never regarded as a

component of human kind non valuable people, burden on the society.

Through if provided with opportunity can prove to be a callable asset of the

society who can serve their community with the invaluable understanding they

have as component of the one they have come from.

act to work all over the state

of Rajasthan. We are

currently discharging our

services in some 1286

villages, 5 Blocks of Ajmer

District.

BPL SHG Formation & microfinance The organization formed SHG (Self help Group) in the financial year 2012-

13 in Ajmer District Rajasthan. Self Help Group is the primary community

institution, which

the project is

promoting, by end of

March 2012, 1964

groups have been

promoted with the

highest number of

groups i.e. 562 in

Jawaja, followed by

peesangan with 528

groups.

In terms of formation of groups the period of this financial year has been

very crucial. The year began with a number of 1699 groups and it reached a total of

1964 groups at the end. In the financial year 2012-13 Block of Peesangan, Jawaja,

Masuda, Bhinay & Shrinagar Dist. Ajmer with support Zila Parishad Gramin Vikas

Prokosth Ajmer, the money so got collected by the contribution from the member

and the organization in the group was used to provide inter loaning with the group.

Loan provided them valuable assistance during the time of financial crises like

drought; during the marriages or time of decease of near ones and some have start

some little income generation activities at small scale in some villages. These

groups were made understand about the loan, savings and subsidy schemes

provided by the government which assist the groups to develop their financial

abilities to perform this program.

Structure of SHG

A SHG is a group of about 10 to 15 people, usually BPL (Below poverty

line) women, schedule caste, schedule tribes women from a similar class and

region who come together to from savings and credit organization. They pooled

financial resources to make small interest bearing loans to their members. This

process creates an ethic that to make small interest bearing loan to their member.

conditions and accounting to the loan are done in the group by designated

members.

As SHG is the base of the project, this year emphasis had been on putting

across the knowledge of SHG’s book keeping for newly joined staff of all the

districts, work at policy level for setting up of a special committee of SLBC for the

SHGs and its roll-out, the roll out the life insurance policies and identification of

Bank manager and micro finance consultants. The project also made a major

breakthrough in micro finance by linking more than 500 SHGs with the banks.

Bankers are very supportive, as they are ensuring that saving account of

SHGs are opened with any delay. The program had been very successful in

streamlining the process of lessoning with banks to open the savings account. The

greater challenge was to ensure the capitalization of groups through credit linkages

it is in this regard that project decided to increase its effort towards credit linkage

and has been successful in doing so. In the month of February alone, more than 100

groups got credit-linked with banks. Training had been administered on SHG’s

books of records to the newly recruited staff in different block of districts. The

records. The trained staff in turn, facilitate in creating the learning ambience for the

rolling out of books of records in uniform way. The project took up the issue of the

SHGs at the state level and convinced the apex institution of SLBC to form an

exclusive committee, consisting of key members of SLBC to look in to the issues

of SHGs and financial inclusion

During the year 2012-13 Bloc of peesangan with the support of Zila Parishad

Gramin Vikas Prakosth (DRDA) the organization has organized project of Vermin

compost & Animal Husbandry (Khushali) program was organized organic manure

& Animal Husbandry Training Program. In this training benefits and wage of

organic manure were made known to trainees. They were also self help group

formation & microfinance made aware regarding the government scheme so that

they may upgrade their earn good income.

During the year 2012-13 Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has organized capacity

building program for the 71 Women’s Self Help Group. Accordingly, the capacity building of all

the members of 71 Women’s SHG’s are to be strengthened by giving capacity building training,

SHG members training, Animator & Representative was training and enterprises development

training for SHG

women.

The main

objective of the

training is to bring

out the hidden

talents and

capacity of all the

SHG members through systematic modular. All the SHG members are imparted this basic

training and primary orientation.

With the support of Jila Parishad, Gramin Vikas

Prakosth the organization had organized MADA &

SADA tribal develpoment program in the Panchayat

Samiti Peesangan & Jawaja. In this Self Help Groups

were formed of Bhil, Meena & Adivasi tribal

communities.

During this program isolated tribes and BPL

families were provided training for

their self employment which a may

assist them in economic and skill

development to lead their self

dependent life. In MADA & SADA

tribal devlopment program following

training were provided.

has organized Hojari Garments training

program in the panchayat samity

peesangan this training are provide self

employment & skill development.

providing Exhibition, Market Linkage,

local market.

Tailoring They have the ability kurtas, salwaars, and skirts, using treadle and electric machine. They make soft toys, bag, and purses cushion covers.

The organization had organized MAGRA center development program in the panchayat

samity jawaja & bhinay. During this program isolated BPL families were provided trainings for

their self employment which may assist them in economic and skill development to lead their self

dependent life in MAGRA center development program following training were provided.

1. Stitching – The organization had organized stitching training program in the village

dumara Block of Peesangan. In this Self Help Groups were formed of BPL Families and

SHGs women. This training program is providing their self employment

2. Bag Making – The organization had organized bag making training program in the

village of Mashiniya Block of Peesangan. This training is provide self employed and the

training could develop the village and rural people benefit the government plans.

3. Papad Mangori & Pickle training program – The organization had organized papad

mangori training program for 8 Women Self Help Group in Block of Masuda this

training program is providing their self employment.

The self help groups are effective instruments of rural development. These

groups mobilize deposits

from women in rural

areas. It boosts to the

pace of capital formation.

The NABARD has

recognized the

importance of the SHGs.

It has supported and

promoted to SHGs in

India. It was NABARD,

who first attempted to gauge the exact position of informal of self-help groups.

NABARD has promoted research oriented projects for the diagnostic study of

SHGs.

During 2012-13, 112 SHGs

formation and promoted by RSKS,

65 SHGs were credit linked with

bank and bank loan of Rs. 58.25

Lakh disbursed taking the number of

SHGs credit linked SHGs as on 31st.

The development & strengthen rural poor women & men belonging from

rural society & have working with some micro enterprises for their livelihood. In

India, more than two third farmers belong to small and marginal category.

NABARD supported JLG program is especially for those small and marginal

farmers who do not have their own agriculture land or haves very small holding

size. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized 5-6 members & formed small

group as Joint Liability Group (JLG) as per their homogeneity base factors & we

trained them in group functioning opening of group account in Bank & then we

provide hand holding support to establish financial linkages with the bank for

strengthening of their micro enterprises for increase their income. After bank

finance Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan follow-ups with groups & motivate or

facilitate & motivate them for repayment of bank loan. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan

Sansthan formed 74 no. of JLG in different village’s block of Peesangan of Ajmer

District in which we establish 50 JLGs linkages with bank for financial support for

the development of their micro enterprises & increase their income support. Up to

till date the ban funded up to 55.40 Lakh to the JLG

Farmer’s Clubs are the groups of 10 to 40 potential farmers at revenue

village level. Farmer club program is a program of NABARD. In the scenario of

RSKS, model farmer members of Farmer interest groups are motivated to join the

Farmer Club. Every farmer club

has a saving account in any

nationalized/Govt. bank.

Members of Farmer club are

known as coordinator.

Coordinators of the club choose 02

office bearers such as Chief Coordinator. Club’s coordinators meet on monthly

basis and every year they prepare their annual plan based on agriculture & animal

husbandry development and also for the village development. While yearly

inauguration program conducted by each club, 02 meet with expert program also

managed by each club, 02 meet with expert program also managed by the each

clubs. From Feb 2013, each club are expected to form 10 SHGs. NABARD

contributed in the maintenance of the clubs for their sustainability.

Till date 29 farmers club are engaged in their developmental perspective

with suitable annual plan in the focus area of RSKS.

In the year 2012-13 20th April 2012 the Condensed Course program was

organized by the organization

in Bhanwata village Block of

Peesangan Ajmer District by

the support of Central Social

Welfare Board, New Delhi. In

this program 25 women was

participated and focused on

improving writing skills and

increasing goal setting skills

while students gained

knowledge regarding

community resources necessary

to reentry students concentrated

on the areas of careers,

education, housing, physical

health, mental health and the

legal system.

To successfully running this

program, students had to contact

community resources for information

through writing business letters to three

outside agencies. The information

gathered was then compiled and

presented in an oral presentation to

classmates. The information was also used to develop the student’s personal

reentry plan. 25 women have participated in this project writing fifty letters to

service providers in the community.

12 Self help Group. The group

helped to economic development.

In the year 2012-13 the

organization with the support of

Sathi Foundation, New Delhi &

People support organization had

organized Bio – Diversity

Program. Bio diversity and

forestry are reported together

because they are highly interrelated many

forestry activities have both biodiversity

conservation and economic growth

objectives, and biodiversity conservation and

economic growth objectives, and biodiversity efforts often focus on improved

management and conservation of forest ecosystems.

On November 06th 2012, one sewing embroidery center were established for

the 12 women of

Rajasthan Samgrah

Kalyan Sansthan, in

the area where they

live in Block of

Jawaja of Ajmer

District. The girls who

have undertaken a 30

days program which

has included tuition in

tailoring, Embroidery,

& skill development,

are now able to make clothes for the their local community as well as selling cloths

and accessories though the support of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, Ajmer.

In the year May 2012-13 Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, Ajmer in

collaboration with Sathi foundation, New Delhi has been imparting free computer

education on

Microsoft to youth

and children from

marginalized families.

To make this program

successful, RSKS has

provided free space

with furniture and

electricity, as well as

examination hall with sitting arrangements for the students. The computer

education program was organized in Surajpura village block of pisangan, Ajmer

District. This report also contains brief information on the training methods, the

curriculum, games the evolution methods used, the program monitoring techniques

etc.

In the financial year Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan started a full

fledged Livelihood & vocational training center with support by Sathi

Foundation, New Delhi. 2 SHG was benefited 30 days training program for

running courses like Beauty Parlor & Jewellery Making. The main aim of

the project was to provide vocational training for skill development to about

school dropouts and unemployed women and youth. Till date more than 450

youth have been trained and found employment in Block of Peesangan of

Ajmer District.

Vocational Training In the financial year Rajasthan

Samgrah kalyan Sansthan strarted a

full fledged vocational training center

with support by Sathi Foundation,

New Delhi. & People support one

SHG was benefited 90 days training

program for running courses like polyston Toys,

papad Mangori, Bag Making, Joot Bag, Mudda, Beauty Parlor etc. The main aim of

the project was to

provide vocational

training for skill

development to about

600 school dropouts and

unemployed women and

youth. Till date more

than 525 youth have

been trained and found

employment in Block of

Jawaja of Ajmer District.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has been

targeting both financial accessibility and social

development in order to achieve sustainable development.

Social development program consists health, education,

livelihood and social awareness activities. With these

activity, organization aims to achieve the situation where

all people of all classes have the possibility to meet their

basic needs. Therefore, it is important to discourage social

inequity and promote. With the purpose of achieving this

goal RSKS is grateful to its partners, donor and other

organization, which made it possible to come closer to the

ideal of RSKS.

HIV/AIDS Awareness campaign

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan aims to create awareness on HIV/AIDS

and reduce the transmission of

HIV/AIDS and other sexual

transmitted Diseases by changing the

high risk behavior of target groups.

This is done by community Based

Organization of Female Sex

Workers. The objective is to make

the target group aware of the

importance and use of safe sex resulting in an actual behavioral change. Condom

promotion and Sexual Transmitted Diseases management are two essential

components of the program. The condom promotion is done by a procurement

system. Every month, a participant can collect given number of free condoms

supplied by the organization. After this, condoms are providing at a low cost to

whoever needs them. During monthly meetings, demonstrations on how to use

condoms correctly are conducted.

The Sexual transmitted Diseases aims to create awareness about Sexual

Transmitted Diseases and its symptoms. In monthly meeting with the target groups,

peer educators explain facts about Sexual transmitted Diseases and the dangerous

consequences of unsafe sex. Identification and treatment systems are an essential

part of the program. Sexual transmitted Diseases patients receive guidance, quality

treatment and are motivated for their partner’s treatment as well.

Women Awareness Campaign

The women Awareness campaign program was organized by the

organization in the block of

Peesangan, Ajmer District. During

the program women were made

about their rights and benefits

provided by the governmental

scheme like widows, pension for

aged, women exploitation and its

related rights etc. Good knowledge

of and exposure in income generating

activities and micro finance specifically for disadvantaged and groups. Good

knowledge of and exposure in marketing. Strong research and analytical skills,

ability to apply monitoring and evaluation techniques related to economic

empowerment of women, including data collection and management, analyses and

publication of solid reports proven ability to establish and maintain effective

networks including governmental representatives and NGOs, to work in

collaboration with various actors having competing agendas, to maintain contact

with many actors in several countries, to cooperate with governments on matters

related to good practices and the promotion and protection of the rights of women

and to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders experience in integrating

meaningful women’s participation in research, programs and activities. Strong

communication skills, both orally and in writing, in spite of geographic and cultural

distance.

Health Awareness Camp

Free Medical Camp

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has been regularly organizing free medical

camps in villages for the benefit of the BPL families. It has been the effort of

RSKS to ensure that free medical aid reaches out of the poorest of the poor. Our

efforts have been applauded by several organization of repute such as Blood

Pressure, Diabetes etc.

The camps are organized in the village of District Ajmer. In the financial year

2011-12, over 3000 patient living below poverty line were benefited by the medical

camps organized by the organization, the camps were highly successful and the

beneficiaries were also given with free medicines if required.

Climate Change Awareness Program

Climate change awareness program is a process of recognizing values and

clarifying concepts in order to

develop skills and added tools

necessary to understand and

appreciate the

interrelationship among man,

his culture and his bio –

physical surrounding. The

organization has tried to

sensitize the rural

communities of village Nadi,

Mashiniya, Dumada & Bhanwata to the long term threat that climate change poses

to their livelihoods and

broaden adoption efforts if

the destructive impacts of

global warming in the region

are to be minimized.

Adaptation to climate

change is most important

among the rural poor whose

livelihoods are most at risk

of predicted climate

extremes. Impact has

already been felt across the region with severe water shocks, especially drought in

successive seasons. The organization has emphasized on the following issues

through the medium of rallies, meeting, street shows and video shows, distributed

pictures/posters and reading material for environmental awareness.

Cultural Awareness Program

The organization organized cultural Awareness program in the block of Jawaj,

Masuda Bhinay & Peesangan District of Ajmer (Raj.) its aim is to adopt and share

our cultural values and cultural diversity as our common humanistic heritage from

our geography. The purpose of the organization is to promote social awareness and

sensitivity for protection and preservation of historical, cultural and natural heritage

and assets of Rajasthan, and to help younger generations understand and assimilate

such heritage. Its main areas of interest are history archaeology, fine art, and travel

culture. It also aims to protect and preserve disappearing of theater cultural heritage

items such as traditional.
