Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of BOD, I would like to express my frank thanks to all those who have trusted us and been along with us to build the reputation of Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial bank – Trustbank for a long time
2009 is closed, it has been two years from the day Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial bank – Trustbank transformed its organizational structure from Joint stock commercial rural bank to Joint stock commercial urban bank, I am very glad because we has proudly made a good start. In last two years, though global finance crisis directly impacted serious consequence to our economy, Vietnam has overcomed and accomplished the plans.
As a growing bank, we have encountered few initial problems, but with efforts and consensus of the Board of Directors, Board of Management and all staffs, Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial bank –TrustBank has achieved remarkable achievements such as expanding network to 61 branches nationwide with growth rate reached to 259% in comparison with 2008, total assets increased by 185% over 2008 with the firm and safe structure. Thanking to investing in banking technology and human resources effectively, the reputation and brand of Trustbank are obviously improving. On behalf of Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial bank – TrustBank, I would like to acknowledge all efforts, by all members in the recent time. I hope to continue being in support of all members in developing the brand “TrustBank – Trust and Success we share” sticking to the target we have outlined previously.
During the formation and development, Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial bank – TrustBank always takes interest in the benefits of customers, employees and shareholders. Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Board of Director, may I convey our sincere thanks to the Board of Members and the shareholders for having entrusted me with the leadership of the entire system of TRUSTBank during the past time .
In the context of world fluctuating economy, as a developing country, Vietnam is affected by financial crisis and global recession. However, the in time macro–regulation policy of the Government and the State Bank has somehow limited the affects on the economy of Vietnam. By the end of 2009, the world economic showed the signs of recovery and return prosperity, it is also advantages for developing countries like Vietnam to face new opportunities and fortune.
In the general context, 2009 was the year marked the boom of the TRUSTBank. Branches and transaction offices have been expanded to 61 points nationwide, located in many large cities and key economic regions in the country. In 2009, total assets of TRUSTBank increased 185% compared to 2008 with solid and safe growth mechanism. The main target of the BOD is thriving, but must ensure the safety of the system, bad debt must be controlled not exceeding 2% of total outstanding loans. TRUSTBank also focuses on training and managing human resources, ensuring to have young, dynamic and professional leaders to achieve the highest productivity.
In recent years, thanks to great management capability and right decisions of the Board of Directors, TRUSTBank has attained remarkable achievements which show precise strategy, paving the way for the next development stages in the coming years.

Stock Rural Bank, was formed on September 1, 1989 – the first
joint stock commercial bank in Long An province. TRUSTBank’s

Overview
Vietnam economy in 2009 has incurred the serious impacts of global financial crisis and recession. Although Vietnam economy has got the positive growth rate but in 2009 was the year which has the lowest growth rate within 10 years. Economic growth and the growth of industry, agriculture and services in 2009 were lower than the previous year. Total export turnover decreased by 9.3%, import surges up to 21.6% of total export turnover. The mobilization of capital for investment was difficult …
With the determination to prevent the decrease, maintain growth, stabilize macroeconomic, ensure social security, Government and the State Bank have carried out the monetary policy and the credit policy thoroughly and flexibly, the economic stimulus package of government has significantly contributed to the recovery and growth Vietnam Economy in the last months of the year. GDP reached to 5.32%, CPI increased by 6.52% over early 2009. Securities market has gradually recovered and liquidity is getting better.
Accordingly, Trustbank has executed financial guidelines and solutions issued by Government and the State Bank. Moreover we have appropriately adjusted our business plans, balanced treasury and the way to ultilize it, ensured liquidity and safety ratios, rechecked the market and expanded more various fields, implemented new programs, products and applications. Additionally, we keep improving the operation process, organization structure, recruiting more skilled and experienced labour, opening more branches throughout Vietnam...After all, we have retained stabilizing the operations and achieved remarkable effects on business

Charter capitalTill 31/12/2009, charter capital reached VND 1,500 billion, that was an increase of VND 996 billion (198%) in comparison to early 2009, equivalent to 18% of the total capital. This increasing is a good condition of strengthening financial capacity, innovating technology, expanding network, improving competitiveness and our brand
Capital accumulated from economic organization and individualsIn 2009, although it was not easy for local banks to raise capital, Trustbank has still maintained the capital accumulated from economic organization and individuals stably and growingly. That’s the result of issuing the appropriate and flexible interest rates in time in order to create the flexibility for corporations in business; carrying out many mobilization programs with attractive interest ratesTotal capital accumulated from economic organizations and individuals reached VND 30.412 billion. Total capital which was credited to accounts of organization and individuals in 2009 reached VND 27.794 billion, 4 times as much as last year The balance of deposit accounts of economic organizations and individuals was 4.634 billion VND till December 31, an increase of 2.618 billion VND (130%) compared to early year.

Credit operationsIn 2009, TRUSTBank’s credit operation aimed to improve the quality, maintain and expand credit line to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) based on balancing capital resources and capital performance. Besides, TRUSTBank always follows the State Bank of Vietnam’s guidelines and policies of managing monetary market, ensuring safety ratios in operation
Loan Turnover in 2009 reached VND 8.858 billion, collected debt turnover reached VND 5.268 billion, four times greater over the previous year. Total outstanding loans till 31/12/2009 which is 75% of total earning assets reached VND 5.124 billion, up VND3.590 billion (221%) compared to early 2009In the past years, TRUSTBank concentrated on improving credit quality, making great efforts in debt collection, carrying out standby risk policies, ensuring bad debt ratios as stipulation. Outstanding bad debt till 2009/12/31/ was 2.3 billion VND, equivalent to 0.04% of total outstanding loans
Investment operationsTill December 31, 2009, the investment balance reached VND711 billion, an increase of VND 708 billion in comparison with early year, as follows:– Balance of investment was 68 billion VND – Balance of investment, trading securities was VND643 billion, an increase of VND640
billion compared to early year. It divided into 3 groups: + Investment in treasury was 3.8 billion VND + Investment in securities was 600 billion VND + Trading securities was 39 billion VND.

Consolidation and improvements (to the) organizational structureIn 2009 TrustBank has continually consolidated, improved organizational structure, carried out banking restructure project, reinforcing operating management, research, adjusted and supplemented regulations, statute, modus operandi timely and appropriately.
Products and services developmentTRUSTBank focused on carrying out our goals to attract customers and expand market share by accomplish the followings:
• Mobilization of products: carrying out actracttive interest rates policies, and promotion programs.
• Credit products: carrying out Loans for consumption, Loans for house construction and renovation, Loans for house, house–foundation purchase, Automobile loan, Loans for small traders, Consumption loans for employees, and Loans secured by deposit slip and valued papers.
• Issuing International Settlement Trade Fee Table, developing supplement products supporting export–import with preferential export fee to ultilize the available source of foreign currency
• Deploying SMS Banking.
Inspecting and Internal supervisingTRUSTBank has continued to improve the banking system, reinforced inspecting and supervising internality, monitored the compliance of operations; ensured safely banking activities as well as supplementing human resources and enabling supervisors to improve their competence.
Recruitment and trainingTrustBank has formulated as well as improved policies and regulations for smoother banking operations. TRUSTBank has continued focusing on recruitment competent staffs; holding internal training programs in order to enhance their ability and administration competence at all levels.

Modernizing the banking infrastructure TrustBank continue to improve SmartBank program in order to meet the demand of our operating management and product diversification, especially modern banking services. Installed SWIFT to implement international settlement service, upgraded the website to new version and deploy the search tool, the internal data storage in overall banking system. On going researching and preparing for project of building Data Center, Back–up Center; E – Banking; Video Conference, Contact Center…
Informative activities and business promotions TrustBank has popularized new products, new operating branches and business, etc…through mass media channels such as local and national newspapers, telecommunication broadcasters, and the Internet. TRUSTBank has celebrated its 20th anniversary of establishment (01/9/1989 – 01/9–2009) and sponsored miserable children, victims of agent orange/dioxin, the poors in rural areas …aiming to enhance TRUSTBank brand name.
Networking developmentTrustBank opened 4 branches including Cần Thơ, Đà Nẵng, Vũng Tàu, Đồng Nai and 40 transaction offices, operating units of TRUSTBank nationwide currently is 61, including head office, 8 branches and 52 transaction offices.
Business resultsTotal revenue in 2009 reached VND699 billion, an increase of VND 503 billion (257%) over the year 2008.
Total expense in 2009 reached VND637 billion, an increase of VND 470 billion (282%) compared to the year 2008.
Pre–tax profit in 2009 reached VN62 billion, up 116% against the year 2008.
The year 2009 came with tough challenges for TrustBank and our peers, however, TRUSTBank has attained stable and firm developments thanks to our safety first, innovative, and proactive management. TrustBank focus on carrying out timely product programs, expansion of operations, step by step advancing of customer service quality… together with deep guidance by Board of Directors and Board of Management.
Trustbank has been honored with “Brand and firm development” Cup and the title “Enterprise for the community” in 2009 for the efforts in the operation as the achievements and encouragement.
Not only business , TrustBank has also shown responsibility to the community through practical social activities in 2009 such as donating 20 houses of gratitude and affection; 5000 wheelchairs for the disabled; scholarships, notebooks, bicycles, rice for poor students; participating in the charity programs of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Education Fund; Sponsoring Programs “The flower of life”, “Beliefs and light”, “Affection Melody”, “Dong Thap Gratitude ‘, “Southern Melody” ... the total amount contributed and supported by employees and welfare funds is 21 billion

We have audited the financial statements of Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial Bank which comprise the Balance Sheet as at 31 December 2009, Income statement, Cash flow statement and Notes to the financial statements for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2009 set out from page 4 to page 29 attached.
The preparation of these financial statements is the responsibilities of the Bank’s Director. Our responsibility is to express an independent opinion on these financial statements based on our audit.
Basis of opinionOur audit is conducted in accordance with Vietnamese Auditing Standards and the current regulations on independent auditing in Vietnam. Those standards and regulations require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements are free of material misstatements. The audit includes examination, on a test basic, of evidence relevant to the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. It also includes assessments of compliance with the current accounting standards and system, of accounting principles and methods used and of significant estimates and judgment made by the management as well as evaluating the overall financial statement presentation. We believe that our audit provides a reasonable basis for our opinion.
Auditor‘s opinionIn our opinion, the accompanying financial statements give a true and fair view of the financial position of Great Trust Joint Stock Commercial Bank as at 31 December 2009, and of the results of its operations and its cash flows for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2009. These financial statements are prepared and presented in accordance with the Vietnamese Accounting Standards and System for Credit Institutions and with other relevant financial and accounting regulations stipulated by the State Bank of Vietnam and the Ministry of Finance.
