Section 1: Documents - Attach The Employee can add and delete performance related documents in Halogen, which will be automatically shared with the Reviewer. You have up to 10 MB of space. Users can add documents in Word, Excel, PDF and other formats. To add a new Document, click on the Main Menu in the top left corner, select My Performance, and then click on Documents.

Click on Add:

A window will pop up which will give you the opportunity to upload a document from your computer. To do this, click on Browse. Select a document from your computer files, then click OK.

To delete the Document, select the Document using the check box on the left, and then click Delete.

You also have the option to sort existing documents by date, size etc. by clicking on the column header you would like to sort by.

Section 2: Feedback – Attach

Feedback allows Employees and Reviewers to track the Employee’s accomplishments throughout the year so that they can be highlighted during future assessment processes. Feedback, such as thank you notes from colleagues, project leads, Reviewers, and any Awards and Recognition are kept in the Feedback area. When adding feedback, Employees have the option of keeping it private or allowing their Reviewer to

access the note. Reviewers can also add notes to their direct report’s Feedback area.

Note:

The Feedback can be edited prior to attaching it to the Activity Report if need be. To Add a New Feedback Note: To add new Feedback, click on the Main Menu in the top left corner, select My Performance, and then click on Feedback.

Click the Add button, and select Employee Note from the resulting drop down menu.

Enter a title for the note. Enter the details of the note (you can copy and paste the content from other documents). If you want to allow your Reviewer to view the Note, select Share feedback with management, click OK to save.

To View or Modify Feedback:

Under the Note column, click the title of the feedback you want to view. The Feedback Note pop‐up window will display all of the information for that note. Make any changes you would like, and then click OK to save.

Add a Reviewer Note:

Click on the Main Menu in the top left corner, select My Performance, and then click on Feedback.

Click the Add button, and select Reviewer Note from the resulting drop down menu.

When “Reviewer Note” is selected, the Reviewer will need to select the name of the Employee for

whom he/she wants to save the feedback. Click on “Find recipients” and type the employee’s last

name. Take care with spelling, or the employee will not show up as an option.

The Feedback can be edited prior to attaching it to the assessment form if need be.

Check the “Share with employee” box if you would like your direct report to see your feedback.

You can check the feedback that has been attached to a specific employee by going to the My Employees page. On your Home page, click on the Main Menu, and select My Employees:

To view the feedback for a specific employee, click on the number under the “Feedback” column for the applicable employee:

Section 3: View Documents and Feedback via Split Screen (for

Employee and for Reviewer) Employees and Reviewers can access the Documents and Feedback posted on the Employee’s Halogen Performance home page via Split Screen to make viewing the Feedback and Documents more efficient. a) When you are viewing the performance assessment form, click on the Split Screen icon to display

the drop down menu

b) Select the option you would like, such as feedback or documents.

Employees or Reviewers can copy content from the Document or Feedback and post it in the assessment form for reference OR include the title of the Feedback or Document into the content of the assessment form for reference.

Section 4: Options for Managing & Viewing My Tasks (For

Reviewers)

If you would like to hide the tasks on your home page that do not require your attention, click on the

gear, and then click on the toggle switch to hide tasks that are “not ready”:

Alternatively, click on the hamburger menu in the top left corner of your Home page, and select “Task

Status”.

When you are presented with your “Task Status” page, use the “Viewing” drop down menu in the top

right corner to toggle between the different processes you may be involved in. Once you are viewing the

tasks for the applicable process, click on “Advanced Search”.

Uncheck the task options you want to hide in your task display, such as the tasks that are “Not Ready” or

that are “Completed”.

From your Home page, click on All Tasks List to view your tasks in a list format:
