In 2017, she and her husband moved into a new home that she helped design making it sustainable and energy efficient. Because her home backs up to Round Valley, she chose fire resistant materials on the exterior. The landscaping is both Waterwise and Fire-wise. This experience led her to propose the project for this year’s Leadership Class 25: Educating Summit County residents on creating defensible space around their residences, planting fire-wise landscaping and home hardening techniques. A wild fire is NOT a matter of IF, but WHEN—- so let’s be prepared ! After the program, usually around noon, we gather for lunch. Join us at Five5eeds, 1600 Snow Creek Drive, Park City, UT.
